brummybloke
Head and feat to challenge for the ball, stop all this shoving and turning away from headers crap, christ it makes trez (who is embarrassing) look like a tackler. Do they not teach players how to tackle or head anymore ? And yet another stupid error, seriously, a player shows for the ball, gets it passed to him and he muffs it up for another direct goal from his error. He cant be that stupid to realise he is costing us in 25% of the games he plays.

Honestly...

Popular Post KentVillan
Think we just have to accept that a player as young as this is going to have the occasional shocker. He's definitely done enough this season to indicate that he is Premier League quality. Normally a player this young would be introduced slowly into a team of older, more experienced players, but we've asked him to be a core player from pretty much the start of the season. Tonight sadly was a very poor performance, but all players have stinkers - Grealish was pretty mediocre tonight as well. Need to cut Douglas a bit of slack. He'll keep improving season on season for the next 5+ years, and I'd like that to happen here at Villa.
omariqy
He was fantastic against Burnley. You can see the class he has but he is still learning. He will adapt. We can't get on his backs too much otherwise we will have another Veretout/Gana situation. He is younger than O'Hare don't forget.
Popular Post bobzy
This place is hilarious. Make a mistake and you’re instantly shit. He’s a young footballer playing his first season in the Prem for the worst of the newly promoted sides. Are we expecting him to be brilliant every game? **** hell. Wolves cup wolves league watford league. he cost 15m and he can't do the basics. how about putting the crap pass into Row Z then giving konsa and ear full? Vive_La_Villa
Didn’t have the best game today but I like him and think he will have a very bright future. Hopefully with us.
Popular Post Tomaszk
There's nothing wrong with that Konsa pass. At all. He makes it because Doug moves for it! He moves to receive it back and 95/100 that's what Doug does. The fact he moves is why there's such a massive hole for them to bomb through. Doug is young and very talented. While McGinn is out, he's our best midfielder if we're going to play Grealish up top. Drinkwater could push him out the side I suppose, dunno how fit he is. I doubt Drinkwater loses the ball in such dangerous spots, the question is if he's brave enough to go and get on it when it's difficult. Marvellous doesn't, Hourihane doesn't, Lansbury doesn't. It's only John, Jack and Doug. I love Doug's bravery, he's been a victim of it here. Comes to get the ball so we aren't wildly launching it again. I bet he's outstanding every day in training when they're doing all the technical bits. He has these little blips where he forgets there are other players trying to get the ball because he finds most things so easy. He's just got to smarten up. It will come, definitely. I just hope it comes while he's at villa. Really don't want one of these lapses to cost us a big league match at the end of the season. Condimentalist
He's got plenty of potential and his performances have been improving overall. Just needs to wise up a bit, be more aggressive at the right times and stop being so casual.
Rightdm00
At least all that buy back clause talk has stopped. Wasn't at his best but this new formation ask a huge amount of him. With Jack pushed up top and 2 wingers also on the pitch Douglas and Nakamba had an impossible task in the midfield. I think, given the fact he was facing the 2nd best team away from home, he acquitted himself well enough. Can't ignore the mistake but that's part of the growth of any young player. Hopefully Dean gives him a little more help versus City.

So much criticism of both on social media after a fantastic result on the face of it
