MaVilla
i cant decide who my current favourite player is of the new signings.......i think 2 or 3 have already shown they are excellent or look like they will be an excellent signing over the course of the season..... Heaton? Hassan? Engels? All 3 for me have been class (not counting Mings in the "new player" as we kinda know all about him). I cant wait and hope that Douglas Luiz adds to that list.....

penguin
How good is this guy, which feels very weird to say after conceding 5 in 2 games. Settled straight in, he's so composed on the ball and has a great reading of the game.
AVTuco Posted August 17, 2019 VT Supporter Share Posted August 17, 2019 (edited) Another spinner today. My MotM. Quietly our best player. Edited August 17, 2019 by AVTuco
Villarocker
Engels looks absolutely perfect for the Premier League and, in my opinion, is out-performing Mings.
KMitch
Talked to a Brugge supporter before the season started & got his feedback on Wesley, Marvelous, & Engels. He said that Engels wouldn't make waves in any of his games, but would be quietly consistent and rarely puts in a wrong foot. Said he's an extremely underrated & intelligent defender who would make it in the Premier League and so far, he looks to be right on the money. Also, he said Nakamba would be a superstar in a few years of Premier League football. Called him the next Kante.

villan-scott Posted August 17, 2019 VT Supporter Share Posted August 17, 2019 Great defender, looks likes he’s been playing in the Premier League years. Classy player, love him alongside Mings.
Tomaszk
Another tasty hook away over his own head today. I'd like one of them a game please Bjorn.

Said he's the rawest of the three and would take a few seasons to get used to the Premier League. His play made a lot of progression at Brugge during his time there because he is a hard worker and wants to be coached to improve. Said he could either end up being an average Premier League striker or a world beater... Time will tell.

danceoftheshamen
I'm very impressed with Engels so far. I feel more confident about him than any of the other signings at present.
vandaq
Liking this player a lot so far. Pretty much exactly what I like in a defender
AVTuco Posted August 18, 2019 VT Supporter Share Posted August 18, 2019 I don't know about his injury history, but he doesn't look like someone who gets major injuries. The way he moves is economical, he could be very durable. That would be an additional bonus for us.
villarule123 Posted August 18, 2019 VT Supporter Share Posted August 18, 2019 He looks fantastic and another great hook away over his head in the second half. We definitely don't want to leave him stuck as the last defender though, he got absolutely rinsed for speed towards the end which nearly ended with a goal. Hobbit Feet
Looks class to me, touch of Laursen about him, looks like the Best Buy so far in my humble opinion, was in top three players with McGinn and Taylor.
