joshharris12
Was good! Should of been played in by kodj for an easy tap in to
Keyblade
He has the worst first touch I've seen in a long time, even Gabby's seemed to be better.
spiezels
Purely a commercial buy do we think?
Skruff
Showed some very promising signs today, I think. Fumbled the ball once or twice, but a decent performance. Works hard. Needs time to adjust to the level.

Crucial part in both our goals today... He has the touch of Gary Glitter. To quote Alan Hansen, "it's so bad it's untrue".
Tomaszk
One lovely touch where he beat Mee all ends up. Tarkowski had to come and cover otherwise he was in. Made some good runs not found and didn't let that deter him. Similar to how Wes has been really, just doesn't have the ability we need but I admire the workrate. Sadly we're short of quality alternatives so we need to get someone exceptional to replace him. No pressure. I’m sorry to call you out on this mate, I could have used lots of other people, who have provided lots of examples but this one did stick in my mind and it’s nothing personal. This is another example the lack of patience and over reactions that occur on here every time something does not go the way we want it to. Trez played yesterday and we won again. We have won the last two matches he has started. He has not been great in general but it is way too soon to write him, or any of our players, off. Let’s get behind the team and help to keep our place in the PL. That way we can all be happy 4

DCJonah
Watching the game back, I noticed he was involved in a lot of good things, yet while watching live I was quite frustrated with him.

Observer effect? I know I'm guilty of not rating a player and sometimes being hypercritical of every touch to justify my position
wedge
Started our move for the second goal by tracking back and dispossessing one of their players, his work rate is phenomenal, his attacking game needs work but he's such a likeable player and I really think given a bit more time to learn and adapt to the Premier League he'll be a great option for us. I think there is potential in most of our summer signings. Very few are the finished article, but could all come good. Trez will improve with more time in the prem, but agreed on his attitude that he is giving himself every opportunity to improve
Sulberto21
Much improved because he calmed down a bit when he had the ball. His movement was very positive. Positionally too he looked way better.

That's the frustrating thing about him. If he had a decent first touch he'd improve immensely. I don't even think it's because he doesn't have the technical ability, it's just that he's always in 2 minds before taking a touch. He can't make up his mind fast enough and so he overcomplicates things unnecessarily and loses the ball. If he just calms down he'd be twice the player. KentVillan
I honestly think that even basic stuff like first touch can look bad when a player is still settling in. A lot of this stuff is psychological rather than down to ability. Give him time. He's not going to be a Ballon d'Or winner, but he could end up being a much better player for Villa than he appears at the moment.

If you're nervous and not at ease with whatever you're doing you tighten up. Your feet become tense and balls which you'd usually cushion, ping off you. Happens in cricket with wicket keepers/slip fielders, they get hard-hands and spill easy catches. I bet he looks like a world beater in training, where he can relax and there is no pressure. But at the moment he's playing in a struggling prem side, is new to the country, doesn't speak the lingo brilliantly and we have a hostile and demanding crowd. Not exactly the environment to showcase yourself. He'll get much better when (if) we climb the table and put a gap between us and the relegation spots. If we go down, he'll be great next year when we're the big fish. Again, we just have to live through his settling period, which could take months.
