He’s a few great games recently but that’s the best I’ve ever seen him play.
VillanousOne
best left back we've had in since Alan Wright and he's better than he was.

Farlz
Absolutely superb. Now we pray it's just a slight knock and he'll be fine for Newcastle.
Risso
Our Man of the Match by a mile, absolutely superb. He was a liablity last season, but this season I haven't seen him have a bad game.
VillaAlex
He times his tackles so well, I don't see another defender in the league do it so well now. Must help a lot defending against Grealish in training as the improvement has been huge.
MaVilla
please dont be injured! The thought of Taylor at LB scares me.....we need a new LB this window i think if Targett is injured....
Villarocker
Brilliant display from Matt tonight. I love the way he's developed into one of our two best defenders - Konsa being the other!
MaVilla
was it his hamstring?, cus last time it was that he was absent for a couple of weeks at least.......that not good when we have 4 more games in 10 days or so? Taylor
bobzy
Absolutely phenomenal. People need to stop talking about left back being a weak link.
Zhan_Zhuang
One absolute beauty of a sliding tackle, some fine interceptions, good link-up with Grealish and lots of energy. I hope he's fit enough for the remainder of the season. Edited January 20, 2021 by Zhan_Zhuang
Reivax_Villa
Name me a better Villa left back? He is up there with our best in that position.

jacketspuds
I would rather we stick McGinn at LB than Taylor if we are going to be missing Targett for a while.

He has the engine for it, is tenacious and has a great left foot. Would be miles better than Taylor, even if we didn't bring in Sanson for a while.
