Jareth
Good to see him up to speed - competition for places in action. Not sure we'll see much of Taylor again if Targett stays fit.

Luiz in for Hourihane and either Keinan or Kodj in for Wes we can win our next two. I'd stick with Conor. Agree about switching out Wes, although aganst one of the weakest defences in the league maybe this could be last chance saloon to play and get his confidence up. Imagine if we win our next 2. 8 points from 5 games against West Ham, Arsenal, Burnley, Norwich and Brighton wouldn't be bad going at all especially considering we felt we dropped 3-7 points anyway. Shows how quickly things change. Our "bad" start suddenly becomes a decent start within 2 games lol

It's the top two, then Leicester, then the next 17. Arsenal are 4th and they were terrible against us, we gave them the win. So while it's frustrating, we're playing OK and still in the mix.
Tomaszk
Such a HUGE influence in every single play. Brilliant to have 11 actual footballers on the field.
Dr_Pangloss
Refreshing to have a proper left back. Been banging on about Targett being in the side all season and this is why, light years ahead of Taylor.
Tomaszk
He was going to have a right fling at that shot before Hourihane pinched it and scored first
Villarocker
Targett is a million miles away from Taylor in terms of being a footballer. For Hourihane's goal he won the ball back in the centre of the pitch. He had a very good game today.
Dave-R
Target was ace for us, offered us so much going forward, any day over Taylor, question is will Smith stop putting Taylor for sub and put Hause in.
Johnnyp
Very clever footballing brain. Stands out a mile. Always makes himself available and in passing range of the man with the ball. Not afraid of the ball either.
New_Hope
Handled his introduction into the team perfectly....he has earnt his shirt and doesn't look like giving it up!
MaVilla
funny really, Hourihane stole an assist and a possible goal from Targett Assist: Targett crosses low from the left....Hourihane intercepts the cross then re-crosses for Welsey to score. Goal: Targett presses high and tackles a Norwich player on the edge of their box, takes the ball, lines up a shot.....Hourihane nips in, takes the ball off Targett and curls one in.....! I am semi joking before ppl lose their mind....but also im 25% not, both of Conors goal/assist, were directly from work by Targett. Seeing Targett down that left side is a joy. Tomaszk
Same as Fred G...what in the name of all that's unholy has he been doing on the bench and out of the squad?

It's called easing him in. What Fulham failed to do last season and just threw them all in there from day 1.
Tomaszk
Third in touches behind McGinn and Grealish. Vital.

Well he was injured at Crewe. Before that, if Smith had the benefit of hindsight im sure he would do things differently. He gave Taylor the start because he hadn't done much wrong up to when we got promoted. Think Smith has learned that this league is pretty unforgiving if you lack quality and giving a fella the start because he's a good pro but not much else...that was a mistake. They both should have been in every game available, was stunned at Tottenham when the team came out. Strange error from the gaff, usually top notch with his selection. Johnnyp
Small thing it might seem but glaringly obvious. For Wesley's 2nd goal, the lead up to it when targett was involved. You would never see Taylor that far advanced in the opposition's half.

VillaChris
We're certainly on the front foot more with this guy. It's like a different mindset for the team with him at LB instead of Taylor who generally hasn't been that bad but obviously more of a safety first player.
