ferguson1
Starting to worry a little now. Wesley should be a project where we can remove him from a game here and there or sub him earlier. Problem is we should have bought another striker in the summer to compete with him and we didn’t for whatever reason. January signing is key. AVTuco Posted November 10, 2019 VT Supporter Share Posted November 10, 2019 In 1982 Brazil had a CF like him in WC. Was he Serginho or something like that??? Pure crap.
HanoiVillan
I guess he was half the price of Newcastle's Brazilian flop, so there's that. Maybe that's one way to try to get into his head this week; can you prove on the pitch next Saturday that at least you're better than Joelinton? Zhan_Zhuang
Amazing that we went from trying to sign Abraham to actually signing Wesley, I mean they could not be more dissimilar.

Thinking of how good we would be with Tammy up front makes me a bit sad. The fact that Joelinton, Haller and Wes cost about £100m between them and only scored 9 goals shows just how hard it is to buy a good striker nowadays. foreveryoung
I'm a avid fan of Wes, but he is lazy as F***. Even when he had the ball he was so weak.

Tomaszk
I actually thought he worked hard today. Still played like absolute crap like he has for most of the season, nothing today was new or unexpected. Looks like he can't play football. Didn't know Maupay was £17m ffs. Thought he was over £20m. What's the justification for signing off on Wesley but not Maupay from Dean and the team? With the market the mess it is, busts are now very expensive. He's not got long before January. If we sign anyone even average he won't start another league game this season.
Uncle Albert
He actually looks like a hes been plucked from the lower divisions in this country, unbelievably out of his depth. God knows who scouted him, the recruitment on a whole has been very good in my opinion but my god we've been sold a lemon in wes
ferguson1
Seeing more Bowery than Benteke at present. Perhaps being part of the national side will up his game tenfold?

He's just not that good.
Keyblade
Can't see what he could've done today. Our midfield was absolutely gash. El Ghazi looked like the only one who could make something happen. You could put Kane in this game and he'd do absolutely nothing.

He didn't do that, which is good. He was still really crap, which is bad.
foreveryoung
Hardly ever fouls a player. that's how hard he works?
cheltenham_villa
Fed on scraps today, actually thought he did ok, winning his fair share of the balls forward and linking up play when given the chance. Should have done better from al gazis cut back. Better than many others today though.
It's Your Round
Looks best when he drops deep, his passing is pretty good but when he’s deep the only players in the box are Trez and El Ghazi.
Laughable Chimp
Well, good news is understat listed him as the most likely to score a goal among our players for once if you looked at his expected goals this game. Although its a sad state of affairs when our striker being the most likely to score a goal among our players for once can be considered "good news". I personally agree with this, I thought all things considered he was the most likely to score out there and actually had 2 chances where he could've possibly made something out of it. As opposed to previous games where he didn't do anything in front of goal. Edited November 10, 2019 by Laughable Chimp
