MrBlack
What I like about this signing is that it clearly shows they had a plan in place for if we got promoted this season. I know it sounds like I'm stating the obvious, but the links so far were to players we could have gone after in the championship and the was a nagging doubt in the back of my mind that we would have been caught out by our relatively late resurgence into playoff contenders. Any doubt, totally erased, totally hyped for the rest of the window. Great work NSWE and co, finally feels like we're going somewhere good! Oh well Wolves say everyone is rubbish who doesn't play for them. Remember how good Tammy was too them till he snubbed there 120k a week or Hause how he was ace and should be given game time, he leaves for us and his classed as crap now like Tammy for mot joining. Popular Post Tomaszk
Bit more about his kids... Numero uno Quote WESLEY, 20 YEARS OLD BUT ALREADY FIVE YEARS FATHER: "EVERYTHING I UNDERTAKE, I DO WITH MY CHILDREN IN MIND" WESLEY MORAES CONSCIOUSLY CHOSE CHILDREN AT THE AGE OF 16 Wesley, 20 years old but already five years father: "Everything I undertake, I do with my children in mind" The Brazilian striker Wesley Moraes is a maverick in the dressing room of Club Brugge. Despite his young age (20), he has been a father for four years. But that is just an extra motivation to make his career a success. Wesley consciously chose children, he has a daughter of five and a son of four. "In Belgium that seems strange, but in Brazil it is relatively normal to choose children at a younger age. It has certainly changed my life. I miss them," he says in HLN . But because people depend on him, he also wants to give the full pound. "They stay with their mum in Brazil. We have daily contact, but it is not obvious. I try to be a good father. I do everything I undertake with my children in mind." "Among other things, I play football for them on the other side of the world. And I want to give them certain values, such as respect and humility. That's how I was raised." Numero two Quote Club has brought in a teenage dad: "I want to succeed for my children" Many 19-year-old soccer players with children are not there, but there is one at Club Brugge. The new Brazilian striker Wesley Moraes already has 2 children at a young age. The teenage dad therefore has a clear mission: he absolutely wants to succeed in Europe. "Especially for my children," says Wesley in Het Nieuwsblad . The Brazilian already has a son and a daughter of 4 and 3 years old when he was 19 years old. "I work to give them a better life." "When I was growing up in Juiz de Fora (a city north of Rio de Janeiro, ed.) There was not always much to eat at home. And when my father died when I was 9 years old, my mother was left alone She wasn't surrounded enough to be able to raise us properly. I don't want to do that to my own children. " "They ensure that as a young player I can resist all temptations. In the summer, they and their mum will definitely come to Belgium. I don't know where I would have ended without my children," says the Brazilian attacker. Being a dad at 15 and again at 16...wow. Reads like they ended up not going to Belgium. Maybe they'll join him on his 5 year deal in England. 3

Wesley scored at home in a 1-1 draw, he also scored in the away fixture that Brugge won 4-0. I can find the goals easy, but would be good to watch the whole match to see how he plays over 90 minutes. He also played against Athletico Madrid and Dortmund in that group. Might give a really good overview of him against decent opposition. Would be good if our VT house scouts could provide their professional opinion based on these four games

And why not play with 2 strikers? Like Shearer and Ferdinand. That was some pair.

sne
@wesleymoraes07 on Insta for those who care. Edit: Young winger Cyril Ngonge seem to be his buddy. 19 y.o Belgian winger, might be someone to bring in to help him settle in. Plays in the Belgian U19 national side. As mentioned above like the Zlatan/Maxwell thing. Edited June 13, 2019 by sne

Popular Post KMitch
Noticing quite a few Brugge fans commenting on him in the r/avfc subreddit. Haven't seen that many selling club fans comment on a player we've bought since McGinn. Glowing reviews, says he's a workhorse with a never say die attitude. Main thing seems to be that he isn't great at heading the ball and misses quite a few sitters because of that (cue the comments about Tammy), but he learns quickly and works hard. Sounds like he embodies the hard working ethos of Smithball. Sounds like a gem to me.
