Steve Bruce gets paid to do what he does as a profession and a handsome wage too. Like you say, maybe his time in the game now is like the rest of yesterday's managers. Their philosophys etc. are dying out and trying to keep that in todays game no longer works over a prolonged period. So I can see why people draw such a conclusion on the man and rightly so.
