Racism Part two

The answer is 'reasonable force'.

Call me a liberal cuck who's infected by the woke mind virus, but what I want is police officers able to subdue a violent mob, while not going quite so far as to kick floored people in the face and then stamping on their head when they're no longer an active threat.

Head stomping bad. Helplessly watching on as people burn down buildings, bad. Maybe there's something in the middle, yeah?

That's fine. I didn't ask for a silly reply. An nowhere did I ever agree with the head stomp.

But one thing i know is, you don't stop riots without a bit of extreme violence. So a few might be upset when you see the metal batons being waved around.

Good job we've got loads of space in prisons currently.

Plenty of these lads are going to have the joy of being locked up for months in noisy, brightly lit police stations without the usual prison facilities, tough luck

What's the difference. Some asking to stop them with extreme violence?

Most of the riotersare just being dicks, the guy at the airport tried to seriously injure armed officers.

I don't think I've spoken about it but, broadly speaking, I'd be of the same opinion as I was with the Manchester airport situation... absolutely fine to use appropriate force to apprehend the offenders; not OK to boot and stamp on someone's head when they're already detained.

I suppose it'd be nice to see racists get a proper beating, but that isn't the job of the police.

Doesn’t help that there are no police officers getting involved in stopping it. It’s really bizarre to watch.

Are the fire brigade there? I can't get my head round all this to be honest.

Shit wage, public hate you, hurt someone and you'll be suspended. I can see why they aren't getting involved.

I’ve not seen any on the videos. Maybe they refuse to attend if the situation is not under control. It would only take 2 or 3 officers to cover that small smashed window.

What will the police do if dozens start piling inside the building?

I'm probably part of the problem for actively consuming these stories, but it probably doesn't help matters having the national news broadcasting the locations of trouble so more people can go and join in

Probably deemed too dangerous for the fire fighters to do their jobs. I mean, if the police are sat back with shields half way down the street, then the fire fighters aren't going anywhere near that fire.

Am I missing something here? the Police are standing metres away just letting this happen. Surely the Police should be stepping in.

As I predicted the crowd is clearly growing and becoming more emboldened. They're obviously outnumbered and reinforcements should be there by now. They are literally burning down a building with people (presumably) inside in full view unopposed.

If we've lost the manpower due to the running down the police then the really do need to bring in the army to protect people.

Far too many racists in this Country for the Old Bill to deal with. What about the ones we can't see?

I don't think I'd be too happy if a mob came and set fire to my house, potentially with people still inside, and the Police rocked up and did f all therefore not allowing the fire brigade to get access. It is bizarre.

Same, I appreciate the tense situation, but it only needed 2 or 3 to move from the  corner of the building ~10m away and cover that window.

What we need now is... rain.

Riots are always in the summer. The hotter the worse as well.

I did say to my other half who is a serving officer that the police should use their water cannon wagons and disperse/soak the scumbags.

She told me that Teresa May sold them all off 🙄

I have just read that Staffordshire Police have said specialist officers are dealing with the incident. I'd love to know what their specialism is.

Guys inside must be safe. Police don't give a shit about business property, unless it's owned by the government, you know that.
