Elton
Expecting a lot of praise for scoring but obviously not.. The stream I had was too poor to see the build up to their goals but agree with OBE, need to take the rough with the smooth playing this way and he’s really still learning the position. villalad21
It's hard not to think about what could have been if he didn't make that error.

I still think it would have been the same story. We tend to lose composure and collapse second half.
Farlz
Needs to cut the mistakes out now, making a few too many it feels like. Luckily redeemed himself with the goal.

HanoiVillan
I actually thought he was really good, and his mistake that led to the goal was obviously bad but he did half a dozen other things really well. I still think he's vital for us.

Popular Post terrytini
I suppose I run the risk of sounding like a stuck record and an apologist, but...... ....as I’ve repeatedly said about individuals, the Coach, and the Team overall.... ....mistakes are simply part and parcel of the games, especially in this League, especially for a newly promoted team ,especially for one that came up vis Play Offs, and especially for a Team that’s been together just over a dozen games. Of course he makes mistakes, and being a defender the outcome is magnified......and being a newly promoted side means he will be doing more defending than, say, McGuire ( who looked vastly inferior to Mings today), and hence more chance to make mistakes. Additionally, that “ dwelling on the ball” is the exact same thing as that “composure on the ball” that so often means we deal with pressure well and even build attacks from it.
Johnnyp
Cracking finish to be fair. Many a striker would of hoofed that.
Tomaszk
Pretty sick of these sorts of errors from him. They're so easy to eliminate. Stop it.
VillaChris
Great to see him open his account, he will add a few more up to end of the season. Good job as he did as poor for the first. He's still good in the air but he's certainly not as good on the ball as he think he is. Get the feeling the England call up has impacted on this as now he's desperate to show Southgate in every game he can play effortlessly out and he simply isn't that good. Level has certainly dropped in last month.

Or Wes: Seriously tho, Wes has other attributes! Fair play to Tyrone for scoring a lovely finish. I’d like him to tidy up a little bit of the rough edges from his play, mind. It's Your Round
Apart from him losing the ball which led to the corner, which then led to the goal, I thought Mings was decent today. It’s frustrating to see him make a mistake but mistakes aside he really is a good player.

villalad21
Mings post match interview is hilarious. It's a must watch. It's 2:45 into the video.
dont_do_it_doug.
Erm, he made the error and then he made up for it at the other end. That puts him about neutral for the day I reckon.

I would find it such a treat.
AVTuco Posted December 1, 2019 VT Supporter Share Posted December 1, 2019 I love his confidence, and hope that at least some of it would rub onto his teammates as well. But he doesn't need to be stupid.
Five Ken McNaughts
Fair play to him for the finish, but that first Man Utd goal... It's the the déjà déjà déjà déjà vu that gets to me.
sheepyvillian
Let's be honest, that was terrible defending which resulted in their first goal and totally avoidable. As good as he can be, the mistakes are becoming all too frequent.
