It has cost him and Aston Villa. Don't think he'll be playing many under 21 games for Villa when he comes back. He's a first team Premier League player. Alternately, this would be like saying an injury to Vardy in their League winning season would mean they never had a chance in the first place. We don't have a certain level of squad depth yet. IMO a certain level of success depends on us staying fortunate with injuries. Big players being absent affect even the best teams. Popular Post useless Posted July 7, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted July 7, 2023 Club U21 football and international U21 football aren't the same, at U21 Euros he's playing with the best young players in Europe many of them first team players for top clubs, they're playing for a competition that's seen as a big deal for the competing countries, and it's a big deal for the players too, as do well and it boosts their chances of a senior call-up, Club U21 football is completely different, matches aren't that competitive because often individual development comes before results, and many of the players playing in U21 teams at club level will end up in non-league or disappearing from the game completely. Ramsey not the only top player there, all teams are full of them, that Tonali that Newcastle signed was playing for Italy. Players going there and doing well is ultimately good for us as well, as boosts the players profile, if they do well increases their chances of senior call-up and ultimatley boosts their value. I dont know if we do or not but i dont think we have a nightmare with injuries ?
