useless
He hasn't long turned eighteen, but he will probably be a regular for our U23s from now on and also get used in the EFL Trophy if he hasn't gone on loan. If we were to get a couple of injuries in the wide areas, then he might find himself making a few appearances on the bench. He played and scored against Redditch the other day, but previous to that I think he's been injured over the pre-season, which is a pity as I think he would have been given a chance in some of the friendlies. Johnnyp
On a sidenote, brilliant having our u21s in this year's EFL Trophy. I know being PL was criteria for that to happen but this is great exposure to proper competitive football they'll get.
mikeyp102
Good for him to get more minutes last night, although personally hoped he’d have got a lot more. Anyone know how he did?

Nigel Posted January 23, 2020 VT Supporter Share Posted January 23, 2020 Loan will be great for him! Feels like we have been missing out on this valuable tool for too long. Glad more youngsters seem to be allowed out now.

useless
He must be under 16, never seen mention of him being invovled with the U18s, and googling his name with Aston Villa brings nothing up. Was looking at Aaron Ramsey's stats for the U18s, looks like he might be another promsing one, not sure if there's ever been three brothers all playing for the same team. We've also got Sebastian and Dominic Revan who are also brothers.

useless
Thought of those but didn't realise they all played at Southampton at the same time. If Jacob goes to Doncaster, we might see Aaron step up to the U23s to take his place.

tinker Posted January 24, 2020 VT Supporter Share Posted January 24, 2020 Good move on the face of it....... but we should learn by our mistakes and get some guarantees, assurances or financial compensation on game time or lack of it.
