Popular Post sne
With the season over I'd like to see more cameos like this for the remaining games. No point in giving time to player who wont improve or be here next season.
Dr_Pangloss
Should be playing a lot more, need to build for next season now.
Mister_a
Good to see him get some time, hope he doesn’t get moaned at too much while he is learning.
Khizzy
Might as well give him a few starts before the season is over. Thought he tried hard today even if things didn't always go his way.
sir_gary_cahill
I thought he was more than decent considering it was his debut, he looked very mature out there for a 17 year old, he’s a very good footballer
Lichfield Dean Posted February 16, 2019 VT Supporter Share Posted February 16, 2019 No worse than Hourihane so I see no reason not to play him. He had a decent debut, he tried to get involved, can't ask much more really.
Eastie
Was lining to up to have a crack at goal until whelan got in his way and took it off his toe - shows promise in a difficult situation
OutByEaster? Posted February 16, 2019 Moderator Share Posted February 16, 2019 He's not quite ready and he looked nervous - but these are difficult times and he'll benefit hugely from the game time. I thought when he came on he was trying very hard to do the right thing, rather than the natural thing - he was getting knocked off it easily, as he will at his age - but he improved as he started to forget the occasion and play the match - I think this appearance will settle him for the next one and I think the next one will be very soon.

Nerves disappear with experience mate. He should get games now because he's part of our future whilst many of the current crop will be distant memories very soon. He'll get games now on a TINA basis if nothing else. He's still very young, I think this time on the pitch will be very, very good for him. A few nervous early touches where he gave the ball away but overall passed the ball better and retained control of the ball better than Hourihane which is a bit of a damning indictment of Hourinhane as we are discussing a 17 year old kid on his debut. Delphinho123
Needs to play more. Season is over so there is no point playing players like Jedinak, Whelan, Bjarnasson and Hourihane over him as they won’t be here next season. If there are any other decent youngsters, they should be thrown in too.
The Fun Factory
Did as well as you expect for 17 year old coming on for a side that is 2-0 down. Looks promising.
Demitri_C
Looks composed on the ball. Looked nervous at first wss giving the balm away but he definitely got over that very quickly an D i thought he was decent

a m ole
He was very good considering the situation he came into, 2-0 down with a well drilled Baggies side parking the bus. He wasn’t afraid to move into spaces to get the ball, kept possession well after a couple of early touches not quite falling for him. What I find most interesting is the idea of him allowing us to play a different formation if he develops. Imagine not having to pick between Adomah and Elmohamady? romavillan Posted February 16, 2019 VT Supporter Share Posted February 16, 2019 Good movement, finds space, can pick a pass, looks quick. What's not to like?

Agree with all that mate. There is a long way to go but there were a few promising signs.
