CH4 put an end to his career really after he and many others where axed in a shake up to attract a new breed/generation of viewers. But there is no chance he could get away with doing what he was doing in the 80's/90's on live TV nowadays, not a chance. Outside of racing.. no idea, but seeing him as a child tearing into some of the buffoons surrounding him on a Saturday afternoon was amusing television I must admit. That and his tic tac'ing and the SP lingo, he will be missed.

I remember watching a Piers Morgan shoot interview on ITV a while back and one episode had Vinnie J on it and he was close to tears iirc when they spoke of his wife. Did bring a tear to my eye at the time too. Sad news. He will be devastated.
Popular Post The_Rev
I'm probably going to cock this up but years and years ago Vinnie Jones was doing publicity for one of his movies and he told a story about when he got together with his wife which made me laugh out loud and I still (mostly) remember it now. He was dating Tanya and was reasonably famous footballer, by no means a superstar or anything but had won the FA Cup and was on the back pages a lot. He'd taken her out to some fancy restaurant in the West End and while they were eating he noticed that Tom Jones was sitting a few tables over, Tanya couldn't see because she had her back to him. Apparently saw Tom Jones get up and head towards the gents so he told Tanya he had to nip for a piss and followed Tom to the toilets. While in there he said he told Tom that he was out on a date with a girl he really really liked and it would impress her if Tom pretended they were old friends. I don't think Tom really knew who Vinny was but somehow he agreed to help out, so Vinny said give it ten minutes or so and then come over to our table and give it the old "long time no see" routine, I'll introduce you to Tanya and it will make her night. Ten minutes later Tom Jones gets up off of his table, walks over and shouts "Viiiiiinny! Long time no- "- Not now Tom. Can't you see I'm out with the missus?" 4

Chindie Posted July 10, 2019 VT Supporter Share Posted July 10, 2019 Rip Torn once drunkenly broke into a bank because he mistakenly thought it was his house. Even better, this was only about 10 years ago, so you can imagine this pissed old bloke fumbling for his keys outside Bank of America before going '**** it' and forcing the windows. Xann
Johnny Clegg 66. Thoroughly decent white South African musician that learned to speak and sing in Zulu as a teen. He went on to form a number of multi ethnic ensembles in apartheid South Africa. He spoke out about the racist government and segregation, despite the very real threat of arrest and incarceration.
