hippo
Hero ! - Classy Touch. Although he was apparently close to tears leaving the training ground on Sunday. Sure he will take breather. Personally I d like him to be given VAR duties at Villa park.

BOF Posted November 8, 2021 Moderator Share Posted November 8, 2021 Seeing him on the Norwich shortlist is hard. Imagine him getting straight back into the Prem. Fantastic for him but it'd be like seeing your ex that you're not over, with her new fella.
Popular Post maqroll
Ah hell. If the players just held on for the win v Wolves...Dean didn't do anything wrong that game. These **** players have a lot to answer for.

USA_Villa
A statement from our ex Manager. This hurts: https://leaguemanagers.com/news/lma-latest/dean-smith-statement/
KentVillan
Good statement from Smith. Wish he'd added a line at the bottom, "And to all the haters. **** you. You **** words removed." But not his style, I guess. Wish him all the best in the future.
M_Afro
Class from Smith as expected. Time to move on now and back the new guy, whoever it may be. UTV
Nigel Posted November 8, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted November 8, 2021 He is the first departing manager since Taylor that I'd love to see back in the future!
OutByEaster? Posted November 8, 2021 Moderator Share Posted November 8, 2021 Someone in a boardroom somewhere has read that and thought; this is the type of manager I want to work with. 1
Popular Post WakefieldVillan
What I want to see now is Ole sacked, Southgate appointed at Man U and Deano taking over the National side so I can support him again...
BleedClaretAndBlue
I hope there are banners and plenty of chants being sung for the Brighton game. I feel down about it all tbh, what a top bloke and true gent of the game. Dean Smith era will always be remembered fondly. It will hurt to see him manage and be successful at a different club. Massive pressure to get the next appointment right now. It will be truly awful if we get no bounce and have to look back at axing the guy who cared more than anyone.

I think the mood will very much be set by who the appointment is. Someone a bit underwhelming and I wouldn't be surprised to see some banners and hear Dean Smith's C&B army a few times. An exciting name we didn't see coming, and it'll be Dean Who? No pressure, Purslow.

CVByrne
You'd have to go as far back as John Gregory to find a manager us fans think as highly of as Dean Smith. I'm at least happy it ended in such an amicable way with no bitterness.
