Popular Post Indigo
Can't say anymore than I love this man. Honestly don't think I enjoyed supporting Villa more even in our top 6 days than I do now and it's largely down to him.

Guest av1
Really good article about us on sky today today. Also mentions Konsa being our best defender. Sky Dean Smith and Aston Villa used the pandemic to get their act together; they are now one of the most refreshing teams in the Premier League; follow Man Utd vs Aston Villa on Sky Sports Premier League and Main Event from 7.30pm on New Year's Day; kick-off 8pm
A'Villan
Few of my earlier musings on Dean Smith. Don't sleep on this man's abilities. On 20/12/2018 at 07:26, A'Villan said: Smith has come out and said he has a plan for the way he wants to play football and he has specific goals in regards to that. There is a vision. Anyone who's ever achieved in their life knows that getting to the destination is a lot easier when the path is mapped out. Thankfully that seems to be his mentality and focus, developing and implementing a way of playing the game that is appropriate and effective and so it's no coincidence that his words are in line with the action taking place. On 19/05/2019 at 15:30, A'Villan said: His (Smith's) position and status in world football has been humble up until now, despite earning his way into one of the better divisions in the world. The modesty in which he has operated with has allowed him to focus on what's important, the fundamentals. Work ethic, detailed knowledge and philosophy. Smith envisions an approach that is applicable to any footballing side. Age, gender and level are insignificant. Ego is the only obstacle in this way of playing. We see Mourinho talk about football heritage and whether or not his players have the capacity to perform for United. Smith doesn't know any better than the budget at Brentford and Walsall. Smith has to develop his players to the standards he expects. It's on him if it doesn't come to. The unassuming nature of Smith's football life has allowed him to concentrate on what's essential to his role, to coach football, in the game we all love. That's how it appears to me. 2
Popular Post maqroll
Thoroughly modern British manager. Mild mannered and steady. Probably doesn't scream and shout at the players. A good ambassador for the club and a calming influence all around which is hard to put a price on in 2020. My favorite manager since I've followed the Villa (1995).

Sky Thanks for that. A really good read. The most telling part for me was this: Quote ...it speaks volumes of Villa's transformation that we are three-quarters into this feature having barely mentioned Grealish. Our improvement across the pitch has been outstanding. Dean deserves all the plaudits.

He said «never had to be carried off with exhaustion» which is slightly different, and really nothing anyone should get worked up about.

penguin
Take the **** fine and go in on the corrupt words removed officiating our games it needs to change. Independent review of ALL major decisions and VAR calls and bring this shit show to light. I thought VAR would be the great leveller but the bias and standard of refereeing is worse than ever. Players should hold their heads up high because we deserved a result.
