Stratvillan
I'll be disgusted if the rumours are true. It's not sentimentality, his job I'm sure was to keep us up. He did.

Fairy In Boots
I’ve been Smith out, is still change if a top class manager becomes available and is interested. however he has started to turn the corner, we need another 4-5 players at £20-25m each though real quality

Popular Post Indigo
Doesn't only mean more that he's a Villa fan, but just that he's demonstrably a good man. Even if I didn't support Villa I think I'd just want to see Smith do well. What a guy. Not to say there hasn't been difficult moments along the way, but he's really shown his worth as a manager. Only echoing what others have said but from leading us to promotion when we had no right, to retaining PL status when it again looked like we had no right to do so, he's already cemented himself as one of our best managers for a long time. There was rightfully criticisms of him in our more troubling times this season, but these last few games have shown an adaptability and a pragmatism to him that many didn't think he had. The only time I ever really doubted him was before he even got the job because it just seemed a Villa thing at the time to try to lazily pick off the fruits of Brentford's labour, he's consistently proved that feeling wrong since and I couldn't be happier for it, for him especially. Happy for him to have a proper crack at this league next season with us hopefully starting from a more secure position.
