tonyh29
He’s serving up football as bad as anything we ever saw under McLeish , I didn’t think we could be any worse than last week and yet here we are I don’t currently see any way out for us ... unless we have a plan to kidnap Messi in Jan

ferguson1
We look a beaten team Dean. Massive team talk required here and probably the biggest of his managerial career to date.
Dr_Pangloss
His job isn't quite on the line, yet, but it's getting there. He has a lot to do because aside from the fact he appears to not have much tactically, little in the way of a plan B, this lot just don't look well coached, which is what Smith's reputation was built on. Yes he hasn't had a massive amount of time on his side but that doesn't excuse the level of performance and application we're seeing, literally the only tactic is 'give it to Grealish' and we are not capable of much else. Very poor. Big half coming up, need at least a point. Edited December 21, 2019 by Dr_Pangloss

Villa Park must be one of the best places for away teams to play, nice old ground, weak home teams and a support that can be quietened and even turned very quickly. Ridiculous calling for Smith to go, about this time last year I remember some people doing it and he turned it around. We should stick with him even if relegated

Vive_La_Villa
I think we’re massively missing Mings leadership quality. It’s no coincidence we’ve conceded 8 since he went off injured.
KentVillan
Dean Smith sets us up too predictably. At this level, the other managers work you out. Once one team finds a system that beats you, other teams will copy that system. Southampton are just following the Leicester blueprint of leaving 2 quick strikers high and hitting us on the counter. We can't handle it, especially if you're leaving Engels in a 1v1 with Long.

CoNnErS
Anyone who thinks DS can spend £120m and still get relegated and keep his job is in dreamland! The mans been swimming in Jack Grealish’s slipstream since day one!
tonyh29
did nothing at half time again time for a change , the players may not be up to it but that doesn’t mean the manager gets a free pass and he’s the one that can’t get them to perform
