VillanousOne
his best all round performance in this league so far, just such a shame he didn't track Robinson for the goal, but he isn't a defender and it's hard to expect him to defend that way.
mikeyp102
Much improved today. Worked so hard against Robertson and evenVVD, using intelligent arching runs which meant passes couldn’t be made. Showed some good ability on the nail and was a thorn in their side.

Guest av1
My biggest criticism of Anwar has been his workrate. That was absolutely fantastic today. Well done kid.
Keyblade
The player yes looked like becoming last season. He'll be in our squad for years to come. When when he's not playing at well today he's still popping up with goals and assists.
Zatman
Yeah was very good today, on another day he gets a couple of assists as well
Danishlad
Seemed to me that, at last, the penny dropped for Anwar. He was doing so well. Then he let himself down with their goal. Still needs to work harder for me , but much better today.
KenjiOgiwara
Only saw 30 min, but he was excellent going forward in every way. But not following that run is inexusable. Just awful. Edited November 3, 2019 by KenjiOgiwara

It was a perfectly executed goal, but Anwar should have been more aware and ready.
Dr_Pangloss
He was extremely good going forward and put in a good shift defensively. However it was one lapse of concentration that cost us a goal, which goes to show that's all it takes at this level against a top team, hard to be too critical of that IMO given his all round performance. He's by far the best winger we have at the club.
cheltenham_villa
If he could become a bit more clinical in front of goal, I could see him getting 10 plus goals a season. He certainly gets the chances.
sne
Really fast with the ball at his feet. Almost Ronaldo-like, while obviously nothing remotely close to Ronaldo. Think there is real potential in him, he could become really good. Some of our other players I feel what we see is what we are going to get, with him I fell there is still another level to unlock.

He's definitely still a player in the making and at 24, that makes sense. It was a decent performance yesterday though, against one of the best teams around and the experience should have done him a world of good. zab6359
His lapse in concentration cost us the game yesterday, if that first goal didn't happen I doubt the second would have.

It's such a shame that that one moment blighted what was otherwise a very good performance, but as you say, a team like Liverpool only need one match-up where the opponent has fallen asleep. Vive_La_Villa
He played well but still unfortunately cost us the game. Needs to learn from it.

Feel for him because he was tracking back superbly all game and now that's all blighted by that momentary lapse in concentration.
