sne
Wasn't really there, then again that goes for the whole of what should have been our midfield. Bit worried about him tbh.
poitier
Thought he came more into it as the game went on, poor game overall but suggests that it probably isn't a fitness issue.
osmark86
had a bit of a stinker today tbh. we need his intensity to stand a chance in the middle of the park and it just wasn't there for most of the game today.

MotoMkali
Someone needs to gtt it through mcginns head he isn't iniesta, he is Jordan Henderson. The issue is when he plays for Scotland he is their main man so he score and gets assists and creates everything. But for us we need him to do the dirty work and receive the ball deep and bring it forward not standing on the halfway line if the ball on the edge of our area.
AV82
He and Smith need to sit down and decide what his role is for us. He’s completely wasted at times.

Keyblade
Think he's starting to get worn out again. Playing too many full 90 mins for club and country in a short space of time, just like last season. At least he didn't get injured against Southampton this time. We need to rest him. In the Championship when it looked like this was starting to happen he got a 2 game suspension. He came back firing on all cylinders. Play Nakamba against Arsenal and give the guy a rest. He's only 2 cards away from a suspension already this season, so I doubt he will have to wait long for his rest.
Farlz
Ah the classic he's had a couple poor games and he's not Premier League quality again. Good one. 3

BleedClaretAndBlue
He’d be the perfect option off the bench to inject some intensity. Its just you need a big performance guaranteed from Conor from the start. Think he deserves to play some minutes regardless, had a decent start to the season and we miss his deliveries. We had 11 corners to Saints 1 on Sunday; we did buggar all and they scored from theirs.
Laughable Chimp
The idea that the current joint second top assister in the PL(whilst playing one game less than everyone else mind you) is not PL quality is laughable.
M_Afro
There’s no doubting his ability to play at this level in my view. He has had some cracking games for us in the PL. The problem is the blend of the midfield. Smith has never quite managed to get it right. You play SJM or Barkley with Luiz and a more combatitive box to box midfielder. Someone like Keane or Viera. At the moment our midfield is walked through at times.

We need that Casemiro type next summer. Problems is they are so damn difficult to find. Very rare breed
KAZZAM
Think Nakamba has to come in vs Arsenal. Scotland has overplayed Mcginn and knackered him out already.

Scotland has overplayed Mcginn and knackered him out already. This is nonsense. He’s having a full day 7 days off between games. Championship players play 3 games in a week a lot of the time. We cannot use the ‘he’s knackered’ line either as an excuse for his poor performances, nor as a stick to beat him with. He’s a professional footballer and I think he’s fit enough to perform the 90 mins. He’s also one of the best players at the club but looks to be struggling to understand what his role is. As mentioned in a previous post, you can’t have both him and Barkley as box to box midfielders because if both get caught too high up the pitch, we’re f*****. Especially as our full backs like to get forward. If we want to play McGinn in an advanced role, he either has to be playing on the right of a front 3 instead of Traore/Trezeguet or in place of Barkley with either Barkley playing deeper or dropping to the bench. McGinn is a good player but he looks lost in the role he’s being asked to play at times. As much as I like Smith and want him to be here the next ten years, he needs to sort this midfield 3 out because it’s killing us at the moment in games. With a slight tweak, I think we can be much better and challenge for a top 8 spot. Edited November 3, 2020 by Delphinho123

Marvelous needs to come in for the Invisible Man Mr. Barkley. But it won't happen because he is Ross Barkley and demands to start every match even when he is injured!
