He’s a committed individual, a workhorse with no little quality, I wouldn’t say he was dirty, far from it, he’s just a fabulous footballer, easily PL quality
DakotaVilla
Time for a tactical yellow against QPR so that he misses the Swansea and Wigan games.

I think there’s an amnesty at some point, when everyone’s slate gets wiped. Not sure when though.
DakotaVilla
Normally it’s the second weekend in March so he’ll definitely have triggered the 2 game suspension by then.
Tomaszk
Yep, after 37 matches, so I think it's Forest away. Hopefully he can miss the fa cup game in the meantime. Bit worrying he's on nine. He's probably going to go into the end of the season on 13 or 14. Imagine him missing the entire playoffs!
lexicon
Thought he was dreadful today. Hopefully just a blip in form.
ramshackler
One of the worst misses I've ever seen from JM today. At 1-0 early second half when we were in total control. They scored right after. Free header 4 yards out, no pressure. Initially thought cross was behind him, but no, dreadful miss
rodders0223
One definitely penciled in for a full rest in the FA cup. Send him off to Bruce's villa.
Stevo985 Posted December 29, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted December 29, 2018 Yeah poor today. Barely saw him. But that’s very much the exception. He’s usually excellent.
John
Not his best game today and he did miss a sitter, but he is not alone in either case and good as he is he can't be sensational every time that he plays. We will just need to try to settle for him being sensational in 99% of his games for us!
The Fun Factory
Looks knackered and was poor today even if he is the fans favourite. I would bring in bjarnason for him v QPR.

I think if you chopped McGinn's legs off and blindfolded him he'd still be better than Bjarnason. 1
Demitri_C
Think they are two completely different players.people saying they are tired but all the other teams have played the same amount of games?

Yes but McGinn's style of play in running around for 90 minutes might be a bit tiring if expected to do this 3 times in 6 days.

Agreed but against a team like Swansea he should not have to. You need your others likr bolaise, el ghazi and co to be helping out.
Popular Post newhavenhibby Posted December 30, 2018 Visiting Supporter Popular Post Share Posted December 30, 2018 He had games like that for us and you wondered at times what all the hype was about .,.........not involved, passes not working etc etc. However many fans could not see any bad games and was always a wonderful influence on the game.......not so. Like all of us he will have off days but then at some point he would be back to his best and turn a game. If you look at the players rating score from the Preston game he is still in third place. When I have seen him lately he seems to be missing his pairing with Grealish and feel when he is back McGinn will spark again. You cannot keep that arse down for long. All the best for 2019

Avcol
Yeah poor against Preston, he needs to stop trying to shepherd the ball and roll through at every opportunity as well.
Vive_La_Villa
Resting mcginn will mean Whelan will have to continue to play and hinder the team so it’s unlikely to happen.
Guest av1
Literally the only bloke we have in midfield that gets stuck in. No surprise he's knackered. Please get booked on Tuesday.
