a m ole
Interesting... has any professional club made their own kit thus far? Is that the innovation?
DCJonah
Think southampton did it a few years back. With this and the training ground, looks like we are putting things into place to deal with FFP.

Kuwabatake Sanjuro
Sheffield Wednesday do too but have the name of an energy drink that may or may not exist taking the credit for it. Must be their version of Wolf Cola. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/English_Football_League/season/2017-2018/championship.html
a m ole
looks like Bristol City’s deal is with a small manufacturer with a bespoke kind of deal as opposed to being owned by the company itself, but seems like it’s not a particularly new thing. ta
Jareth
Tony can get a million shirts made in China for something like £1 per shirt, then sell them here for £40 per shirt, that's a huge, LEGAL, margin.

Which lets be honest is exactly what Nike, Adidas and every other big brand has been doing for as long as I can remember. It'll be great if we finally cut out the big name manufacturer who have been making bank off of the Villa brand for decades and start making all that cash for ourselves. You don't need a brand to cut you in on the profits if you are the brand. I really hope this is what Xia is thinking as it'll be a massive boost to our financials each season.

If there was ever a time to send a resume in! Assuming we're starting a brand new sportswear brand and producing kits in house, surely a talented, experienced and well credentialed Villa man would be like gold to them. Stephen_Evans
Did anyone notice we're not actually called Aston Villa anymore? https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/00046572 Although in fairness, this is only one of the historic companies associated with the football club. The corporate structure seems quite complicated! Edited April 13, 2018 by Stephen_Evans

Think Man City are part of the City Group? Or something like that.
