Net spend World champions

They apparently didn't break the world record fees for a keeper and a centre back because they conned £20m out of clubs for several of their reserves

And relegating purchasing club in the process.

5 subs. Another knife in the back of non Sky clubs. Over the course of a season, this will bury sides that can't bring Galacticos off their bench. Really sickening move by the PL.

Yeah 5 subs is a garbage rule that's designed to benefit the big clubs and keep them happy.

On the bright side we actually have a squad now so there will be a fair number of clubs who will benefit less from this than us.

There is an upside - but of course the elites will horde their hugely expensive talent.

Man City losing to Southampton and can bring on four attacking players with 15 minutes to go is simply a disgraceful capitulation.

It’s counterintuitive in terms of entertainment too. Too many substitutes ruins the flow of the game sometimes.

I actually think that's a better reason to object to it to be honest, definitely some truth to that.

I know it does theoretically help the bigger clubs, but in reality Klopp and Guardiola barely ever use 3 subs as it is.

Last season under corona it was 5 subs but in 3 breaks, has that stayed or changed?

5 subs will also benefit our kind of clubs that are trying to develop young talent. Its not all bad!

I don't think so. Players that don't won't to go to city or Liverpool for fear of being bench warmers now have such fears reduced.

I give it a few months and they will be asking for 7 subs even when still using 2 a game

You do all realise that this is just the next stage, it WILL get to 11 subs eventually, it's unstoppable, it's how things work and as time goes by it just gathers pace, the game, will well and truly, be gone a lot quicker then people think.

Don't forget the 8 advertising breaks, I heard the refs are going to be training with some clubs too in the future, oh brother, I wonder where that will lead.
