magnkarl
Don't worry guys. Lilly Allen is on her way to Downing Street to protest. At this moment I'm not quite sure what she's protesting because we have no government yet.. I think she just likes to be a unique little snowflake. Davkaus
She ought to just moan on the internet instead. I couldn't give a toss about Lily Allen, or her political ideals or 'activism', but then, that's why I don't spend time worrying about shite she's put on Twitter. peterms
There are quite a few people right now rehearsing mea culpas about their assessment of Corbyn. I wonder if any of this select group of thinkers will be among them?

"Loyalist leader Jackie McDonald declares support for Arlene Foster's leadership" - who's Jackie McDonald? Quote John "Jackie" McDonald (born 2 August 1947) is ... the incumbent Ulster Defence Association (UDA) brigadier for South Belfast. Of course McDonald would support Foster. She had no problems hanging out with him last week, days after the UDA murdered someone. The UDA is listed as a terrorist organisation by both the UK and the USA. I'm from Dublin, and I was visiting a pal in Belfast a few months back. While walking me to the train station, he said "This road is a good shortcut, just don't talk for a couple minutes." Yep, it wasn't safe for my accent to be heard. These are the people propping up your government.
peterms
They say you should avoid stereotypes. But this letter, in the torygraph, not only references Dunkirk, but comes from someon in East Grinsted. Bingo! Quote SIR – The Conservatives should consider this their Dunkirk moment. An opportunity to consider the lessons, regroup and have another go at getting it right in the autumn. Whatever the cost of yet another vote, it will still be cheaper than allowing the opposition, here and elsewhere, to inflict greater damage on Britain. Popular Post jackbauer24
There is a line of thought that suggests this is the best result Labour could have got, not just the best they could hope for... another words it was better to lose this election than to win it, but to do so well. First they don't have to actually do anything so positivity remains, no questions are asked of them. Secondly, whoever is in charge during Brexit is going to take a battering, the EU will ensure that. Thirdly, by losing this but making it close they've got a conversly better chance of a landslide at the next election. Youngsters especially will have seen their vote actually did make a difference for once. It's going to be an interesting year...

PompeyVillan
Had a similar thought myself @jackbauer24 I do slightly worry that Corbyn will always struggle to convert Conservative votes to Labour. But the Conservatives, especially with May at he helm for any period could make a real hash of this government with the DUP. Which is contraversial to say the least. jon_c
Clive Lewis just on the telly saying imagine how Corbyn would've done if backed fully by the party. Clive Lewis resigned (rightly so imo) from Corbyn's shadow cabinet.

PompeyVillan
I'm not well versed in NI history, is there a realistic chance of stoking tension by pairing with the DUP, given the power sharing agreement?
