Some people are more than happy with the cheap shit pumped (ha) out by conglomerates, paying their workers slave wages, but you can pay more, get a significantly better product, and not be voting for the scum with your wallet.

On this subject, Unilever are looking to withdraw from Russia.

Quote

Unilever has decided to ditch its Russian arm in a deal understood to be worth £300m and £334m, 50% less than the division’s value.

The conglomerate, whose portfolio includes brands such as Ben & Jerry’s, Dove, Magnum and Wall’s, is to sell its Russian assets to chemical company Arnest, reported This Is Money.

However, the deal is subjected to a 50% discount according to Russian law on asset sales, while Russian media is reporting that it is still waiting to be confirmed as official, and is being looked over by the Kremlin’s subcommittee for approval.

It follows ongoing protests by campaigners Moral Rating Agency over Unilever’s continued operation in the country, after other FMCGs have pulled out or been bought out of the country.

Nestle, Mondelez (Cadbury, Milka, Tobler), Mars and Ritter are still on the shit list.

Expect long range strikes to take place before Lammy and Blinken hold their speech in Kyiv later this week. (or next).

Aren't they in Kyiv today?

I hope the discussion goes like this

US: Don't use these missiles against civilians, or we cut you off

Ukraine: Okay

Problem solved. They need the missiles so won't risk using them against civilians like the Russians do

Iran sending ballistic missiles to their terror friends seems to have woken up the West. Strong rumours restrictions will be lifted on ATACMS & Storm Shadow in response.

Two years too late. Also it seems Biden is the one with the power to authorise it which makes you wonder why it wasn't done long before now. It would also make a lot more sense to announce the restrictions are still in place while Ukraine launches the strikes. Telling Russia what Ukraine can do in advance will give them time to take some counter measures.

Within 2 days Russia will bomb a school near Moscow and blame the west.

Every other day will be videos showing children, women etc covered in blood outside a shopping centre. Conveniently they will find a shard of metal with a USA flag on it.

Furthermore, Russia basically invented social media disinformation farming - it will be everywhere.

The ATACMS block they're getting can't reach Moscow, so that's an easy one.

Minsk or Belgorod on the other hand..

In reality Ukraine will likely try to hit staging points, ports, bridges and airfields if they still have aircraft stationed there.

JASSM can hit most of West Russia including Kaliningrad if the US gives it. They've got a whole heck of a lot of them.

They can hit a bit further at the moment though; the bit I've circled in red is Kursk Oblast, much of which Ukraine controls, for now at least.

Obvs they'd have to protect the HIMARS launchers, but they're used to having to do that.

“The average daily Russian casualties (killed and wounded) in Ukraine has increased in August 2024 to 1,187 per day, according to Ukrainian General Staff,” the update noted before it assessed that Russia had likely seen roughly 610,000 casualties.

Putin press release -

The West wants to supply Ukraine with  <<insert name of weapon here>>.  If they do so they risk war with Russia.   I really mean it this time.  I know I said it when they supplied anti-tank missiles/intelligence/targeting information/atrillery/ armoured vehicles/training/tanks/cluster munitions/F16/medium range missiles, anti aircraft defences/the kitchen sink but I really, really, really mean it this time.

My army has proven that if they have another country surrounded on 3 sides and outgunned in every way that we can protect some of Russia from invasion at the expense of most of our decent equipment, thousands of men and our economy.

What's left of our army is more than capable of defeating NATO.

Did I mention nukes?  We have nukes.

🤣

It might sound stupid but it's worked perfectly for him so far. NATO have stopped Ukraine attacking Russia since the start of the war, so much so that Ukraine had no choice but to do it themselves on the ground.

It's worked perfectly?

Every time Russia makes gains on the battlefield NATO supplies better weapons.

Putin wanted to disarm Ukraine.  They are better armed than most other countries in the world.

What Russian gains have been taken back by Ukraine? Russia makes gains, NATO gives some token weapons to keep Ukraine dying slowly. Two years into a war that should have been over in 6 months with proper NATO support (IMO). Probably around half a million people dead in total, and counting.

This is true. Drip fed Ukraine really.

To be fair, it's a good job Russia don't think like Iraq, Afghanistan and start bombing London with terrorist acts.

Don't forget that there was a time when Russia was close to taking the country at the start of the war.

It really has. It's perfection in motion. This war has gone exactly how Putin would have wanted.
