While you lot argue about Putin I'm on Prighozin watch, to see if he rises from the dead.

More chance of the coffin exploding to take out a few mourners :D

PS: Check for obvious wigs ;)

Partly, though their tactics are different from NATO tactics, I've read. Specifically, Ukraine is simultaneously attacking along a huge range of places, looking, we're told, for weaknesses. They've been encouraged and advised by UK and US military to concentrate more on a particular direction of attack (not to spread themselves so thinly). Obviously the difficulty they have is Russia is also attacking in places, gaining ground, so Ukraine has to use resources to defend.

Yes, and add to it the fact that Ukraine has to demine a whole lot of land before they can go on the offensive it will take time.

What people like George Galloway and Stop the War are crying about is how many men Ukraine are losing due to this being the new narrative from Russia when the reality isn't anywhere near what they're saying. UAF are just not willing to throw themselves at mines\anti tank ditches and machine gun placements without having methodically found a way through. People who are so inclined will see that as a sign that Russia will win, while cooler heads (NATO and US advisors in particular) see it as the only way to win a war and have anyone left to tell of it.

When Russia is getting their own fair share of drone attacks every night and FSB not being able to stop people spreading videos of this online, the pressure will be mounting rapidly for bunker grandpa.

We stand with you Vlad

EU countries are estimated to have spent nearly €5.3bn buying over half of all Russia’s LNG during the first seven months of 2023, with Spain and Belgium the second and third largest buyers worldwide

Ukraine are now through the second line of defenses towards Tokmak. The heat is on for Russia. If the last line of pre-dug defenses is crossed near Verbove there's much more open ground with easier defenses to pass.

But by that time it will be winter again and the ground condition/weather will deteriorate.

They crossed from the first across the second defensive line in one day mate. Also this is not Kyiv or Luhansk, last winter it was more than possible to attack here.

I don't think you realise how brittle Russia's defensive positions are behind the Surovkin line.

I mentioned the same regarding oil being openly sold in to the system, visibly traded to western ships off the coast of Greece.

But it’s an inconvenience to talk about it too loudly. Western companies are turning a profit, its helping keep inflation down, its helping with an energy crisis.

It’s part of the calculation by the ‘baddies’ that the ‘west’ is rarely genuinely fully committed to any cause. We have aspirations to be world police, but coupled with a short attention span and a love of leaving the heating on.

Things appear to be hitting home, at last.

It's not going to make any difference. Many Russians have been disillusioned for a long time. Even on this channel as many of the people he talks to have been interviewed several times, so it's just rinse and repeat. Quite boring tbh listening to the bollox

Could be a deepfake or filmed a few days before the plane crash but this came out of the Wagner channels yesterday.

The fun rolls on.

Eye.... but the second half of August started 2 weeks ago and he was rumoured to have returned to Mordor following the Africa visit. It's like he anticipated and mocked the rumours before it actually happened.

Yeah, it was probably filmed on the 19th/20th looking at the dates.

Kadyrov hilarity

He's the perfect example of everything that is wrong with Russia, never mind Chechnya.

He doesn't look good either and like he's on the way out tbf. I'm anticipating a Monty Python moment where he just explodes at the dinner table.... while on tik tok.

So the Surovkin line's so far strongest point has been breached by a squad of 15(!) men from a small SOF unit while Russia was rotating, meaning that Russia's now lost control of the highest point on the way to Tokmak. While the main offensive brigades were fighting for Verbove the commander of said SOF detachment was monitoring rotations in the Russians holding said hill, and pounced at night when the Russians rotated.

At this rate Ukraine's army is fast becoming the best army in the world. No ifs or buts about it.

Meanwhile Russian command is spreading a fake letter with Budanov as the signatory that says that UAF should kill all Russians retreating. As Russian reserves are surrendering in droves this is the last Soviet-style idiocy that Russian command is trying.

Also, for today's Benny Hill moment:
