It dropped 0.7% over the last year. You would expect their income tax payments to have risen, currently they are running at a deficit. (They get in less than they give out currently) Wage amounts dropped significantly in this time and inflation has risen. Apart from that he is spot on. But.........they've cocked it up. They have confused the word "Save - to rescue" with the similar word "Save - to download a computer file".
