How long before the highest bidder can sponsor a drone and pull the trigger against a selected target?

This war has worrying aspects to it, it's all fun and games until its you or your family getting killed.

In other news, he can’t seriously expect to be taken seriously can he?

Quote

Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused Ukraine of attacking the bridge to Russian-annexed Crimea, saying that it was an "act of terrorism".

President Putin said Ukraine's intelligence forces had aimed to destroy a critically important piece of Russia's civil infrastructure.

Here is a little eye opener. I saw this several days ago when released and decided not to post it however, after some thought I think it's worth showing this video. In the midst of war and all the nonsense that goes on there can still exist empathy for your foes.

The breakdown of this video is an ensuing engagement whereby a Russian tank has ended up in the side of a building. One of the occupants of the tank is already dead although there is no graphic detail. However, one of the Russian's is still alive, badly wounded as he's had a wall collapsed on his leg. As, the Ukrainian soldier, who could quite easily have decided to shoot this guy decided to try and save him instead. All whilst bullets were flying and more astonishingly, the Russian soldier was asking to be finished off.... It's a short clip of 2 min but it goes to show that even in the midst of the most extreme conditions good still exists, even if you're a little pissed off.

I think anyone other than Ukrainians or those involved, paying to have messages put on rockets are dickheads. Donate by all means, but to have a message put on something used to take life when you aren't directly involved is scummy.

feels very dystopian

What Putin doesn't seem to realise is that every missile attack fired on a civilian target will harden Ukrainian resolve. Instead of deploying the few missiles he has left on actual military targets he keeps wasting them on committing war crimes. Here's a great video showing how Ukraine beat Russia in the first few days of the invasion. Hostomel changed hands several times and Russia had many of its best units completely cease to exist as a fighting force.

The Pentagon now thinks that Ukraine is the best fighting force in Europe and likely the second best in the world. Given NATO equipment to a larger degree they're probably even better than China. It'd be madness not to let them into EU and NATO.

Lviv in western Ukraine has also been targeted with missiles.

It looks like the war just changed gear.

Not really, it's just retaliation. They can't keep it up because they don't have the missiles. These kind of attacks happened at the start of the war.

Hopefully it stops again. The worry with the lack of accuracy of Russia’s missiles they over shoot Lviv and into Poland

That wouldn't be the worst thing. It would bring NATO into the war and be the end of Russia.
