A minority surely. In my opinion having been to Russia few times, there's very few people that care. A bit like the US where you're taught how wonderful the US is and that the rest are more or less inferior to your wonderful state. The people that do care are either academically involved, are not involved in anything that relates to the state or have fled the country. The rest watch 6 hours of propaganda every night, akin to Newsmax or Fox. Then there's everything outside of Western Russia where essentially people have nothing. Most of the recruits currently fighting in Ukraine are from these regions. The common Russian soldier in Ukraine is called a Buryat by Ukrainians because many of the POW's captured early were from Buryatia (known for lake Baikal and being closer to Beijing than Moscow). Russia is extremely racist towards anyone not Slavic, which essentially means everyone East of Kazan and Volgograd. In many cases I doubt the Western Russian population even cares that many young men from these far off oblasts are even dying. I'm sure there are those that never wanted to be there. But, were you bitching and crying when you killed your first Ukrainian or when you thought you were winning.
