I've not quoted the text or linked to the videos directly as it is disturbing (even if the videos on the website are not as graphic as those shown post-watershed on TV just now). War is always terrible, but you have to wonder what orders they were given. A lot of this stuff just seems so obviously unnecessary and avoidable, even in the context of a messy war. I read this report earlier today, it really is heartbreaking to see. I put myself in the Ukrainian civilian’s shoes and wonder what I’d do in their position. It hard to even consider.
