Interesting threat from Lavrov. Any Russian strike into NATO territory triggers Article 5 and a very strong military response. We need to get serious about arming Ukraine properly now, the fascists in Moscow need to be stopped.

The general trend seems to be that Russia doesn’t give warning before doing something despicable. They are also clearly terrified of NATO.

For me, it’s a bluff.

I agree with many of the posts on this subject...Ukraine cannot give up. Russian military now needs to pull back or be made to suffer intolerably and forced to concede. It's a terrible situation but the Ukrainians cannot suffer as they have for weeks, for nothing. Most of us posting would feel exactly the same if this was our home. Get the women and children as safe as possible and then fight for their futures.

A fair statement.

The killing needs to stop though. And it won't unless concessions are made somewhere.

What is Russia conceding? It's right to murder children with precision munitions? Get stuffed Russia.

Negotiation requires equitable concessions, or it's no longer a negotiation, it's ransom.

The Russian ambassador to the UN surely can’t believe these Bush style printout kids drawings? He must be dying inside. Or just be ridiculously evil.

He also looks like Jabba had kids with Heisenberg.

Eight years after Russian troops seized Ukraine's southern region of Crimea, the event is being celebrated with flag-waving crowds in Moscow's Luzhniki stadium and special lessons in schools.

President Vladimir Putin made a special appearance before the crowd.

What's the Russian for 'Make Russia Great Again'.
