If Russia wants any part of Ukraine, and insists on taking it by force, it's imperative that they are made to pay for every single metre they get. It will mean many will die, but it's important to set the standard that this cannot be allowed, that all aggressor can't just take territory it wants from sovereign states. Russian military now needs to pull back or be made to suffer intolerably and forced to concede. It's a terrible situation but the Ukrainians cannot suffer as they have for weeks, for nothing. Most of us posting would feel exactly the same if this was our home.
