Most leaders would sit alongside their most trusted advisors. Not Putin, he makes them all sit across the other side of the room whilst he lectures them during his rants. Yeah, that was very telling. That one guy nearly wet his trousers. Putin must be despised by his underlings if that is the power dynamic they work under.

He might, but it would result in an all out state of war against Russia from nearly every super power in the world. We’d be at nuclear war if this happened. I don’t know how this ends. Don't think it has been in active use for anything for a long time.

Probably bloody easy to shoot down given its size EDIT: t'internet says it was destroyed in its hangar
HanoiVillan
The AN225 seems to have been parked in a hangar at an airfield that was bombed. I don't think it would have been 'shot down' under nearly any circumstances, I don't think it was in any way useful for fighting.

It was destroyed at the airport by Russian fighters. Couple of days ago this.

magnkarl
It’s fairly clear that what Ukraine needs is anti air batteries and more anti-vehicle handhelds, they should be able to make at least the west bit next to Poland and Slovakia a fairly Russian free zone. HanoiVillan
Ramzan Kadyrov (notorious Chechen strongman) weighing in on Telegram (link in the tweet): Russia does seem to have shown some restraint so far, by e.g. not shelling cities into rubble, and instead attacking with in many cases quite lightly armed units which have then taken a battering. This is lovely for supporters of Ukraine of course, but the problem is Russia is presumably going to have to make decision between either 'we've made our point' or 'we're really in this to win this' and presuming it's the latter, the next phase might involve levelling cities and many times more civilian casualties. sidcow Posted February 27, 2022 VT Supporter Share Posted February 27, 2022 BBC news have pictures of Ukrainian soldiers scavaging from a ruined Russian Convoy and salvaging a grenade launcher. Nice of the Russians to donate some military hardware to them Not only are a lot of Russian soldiers not going home but a lot of hardware isn't going home either. It's going to be a big dent in the power of their army no matter how big it is.
