Grasshopper
The day we get hammered. We'll be kicking off so often we wont have to hoof for Hogan/Kodjia to get a touch. The day Holloways QPR go above us The day the away fans turn The day DrT weilds the axe The only positive for Bruce being he hasn't got far to get a taxi back to his roots All on live TV for the whole nation to see how far we have fallen

However, the performances and results are shite, so do you really expect anything positive to come from anyone who is a fan? In all my experiences at Villa Park, up and down the country, Wembley and in Europe, the fans have always sung and cheered their hearts out before the game. As soon as the game gets underway the crowds reaction has always mirrored what goes on on the pitch. This "excuse" or accusation that our fans are either fickle or a miserable bunch of moaners is completely wrong. Either here on VT or at a game, give us lot something positive to cheer or comment about and we will. Give the fans a load of shit and any fan worth his own pride will be hurt and give a passionate reaction. = Get shit -> react with shit.
pacbuddies
A defeat at Newcastle should hopefully see the end of potato head and his dinosaur management style. Roll on Monday for another instalment of the AVFC decline.
villa89
In some bizarre sense of morbid curiosity I'll probably subject myself to sitting through this. Although if we go down by more than 2 goals I'll be switching over.
One For The Road
A heavy, heavy loss. 5-0 to them. Anyone going to the this must be mental. Unless they support Newcastle of course.
OutByEaster? Posted February 15, 2017 Moderator Share Posted February 15, 2017 Same team that started last night for me. It's going to be a tough one obviously, but I'm hopeful we can give a good account of ourselves. I think we'll lose, we seem to lose no matter what else happens at the moment, but I think we'll be surprisingly competitive.
theboyangel
Will the regular 85 nil prediction actually happen? Think Newcastle have a chance!
Raver50032
I won't even dare have the radio on, let alone the TV for this. I'll go to bet at 7.59pm on the nose and read porn. The rest, you can imagine for yourselves.

striker Posted February 15, 2017 Visiting Supporter Share Posted February 15, 2017 (edited) I hope for Villa's sake Bruce replaces the keeper for this one. Shelvey will shoot from every angle and Johnston will be put under tremendous pressure from the start of the game. Rodders
Probably a dull 2-1 or 1-0 loss. Not so horrific to justify greater rage as it'll be easier for him to point out its a tough fixture, nor so great for us that we can take any actual pleasure out of the night. BOF Posted February 15, 2017 Moderator Share Posted February 15, 2017 I don't see this as a foregone conclusion at all. We're playing well enough that we can give any team a game. We just need to cash in on our chances and try not to be punished by silly mistakes. We're as likely to lose to Rotherham as Newcastle and as likely to beat Newcastle as Rotherham. The quality is there in the squad that we won't be out-classed by anyone in this division, not even Newcastle. I'd love this to be our watershed game, but I'm long past expecting or hoping for it. Just don't be shit please Villa.
Grasshopper
Shelvey will destroy us shooting from wherever. There wingers/fullbacks will destroy Hutton and Amavi Gayle and whoever will slowly wear down Chester & Baker I can see Bruce playing SJ Hutton Chester Elphick Baker Amavi Hourihane Lansbury Thor Hogan Kodjia
The Fun Factory
The pressure will be off, I think we will play quite well. However we can't keep a clean sheet so probably lose 1-0 to a late Newcastle goal, and then massive pressure on the next 2 home games. Lose those 2 then all bets are off. Czechlad
This match is on my birthday, and I will be up in Scotland so I am going to drive down for this match. I am going with my old Newcastle friend so I really hope we somehow knick a win. I had to pay him 50 quid last season because I bet we'd finish higher than Newcastle. I almost took the same bet this season.
Czechlad
This is what I'd go for. I am almost tempted to drop Kodjia for Green though.
