The Manager thread

Wouldnt be suprised if Potter never makes it back to the big time.  Imagine the effect on his mental health.  The death threats, the effect on his family. He isnt built for a place like Chelsea. Obvious from the start. Boehly doing his thing of hiring whoever is trending on Twitter.  He looked so **** on the sideline on Saturday. Used to be so calm and unflustered at Brighton but u could see the pain on his face at the weekend .

It could be like when a boxer gets battered and is never the same again psychologically.

Potter could end up back at Brighton or at Brentford if either De Zerbi or Frank leave. A lot of PL jobs could become available in summer, any bottom half sides looking for a manager and he could end up at any one of them.

What do you mean by big time? A big 6 team? Probably not, but he’ll easily get a mid table PL team in summer. Or the England job.

Its his 4th season in the Premier League, he has lost more games than he has won as manager

He had a 31 percent win record at Brighton, 38 at Chelsea. His record since moving back to England is really poor

Potter needs 6-12 months out of the game. He looks like a burnt-out mess. Good thing for him is, he can afford it.

I always see managers that just want to get back in the game right after leaving a club. I think the approach that Eddie Howe did -- taking a sort of sabbatical & going and studying other teams in other nations (he did Atletico) -- really helps with broadening the horizons in coaching. New ideas, tactics, training plans will always be sought after.

Saw a story that a French female footballer has brought her 9 month old baby to Claire Fontaine or whatever its called for the French women's team training camp and it's caused a stir, whatever that's not the story... Saw Herve Renard was their manager, that's him who was Saudi Arabia manager at the world cup

Keen to see how Ainsworth goes at QPR.

Been a disaster so far.

He should've stayed with Wycombe until end of the season and then picked a more stable championship club come the summer (Blackburn perhaps).

He let his heart rule his head big time which surprised me given he's surely had decent offers in last four years.

Since he's come in QPR have lost at home to SHA, 6-1 at Blackpool who've lost every game since, 1-0 at Wigan and they were very poor today at home to Preston.

Still got to play Burnley, Norwich, Coventry, West Brom in last six games so I think they're going down. Some fall considering they were top end of October and then Beale walked out to go back to Rangers.

QPR would be safe already if they've got Warnock in. What a job he's done at Huddersfield. Plenty dislike him but deep down there's a grudging respect for the amount of times he unretires and suddenly improves hopeless teams.
