villalad21
I'd play a fit Birkir anyday of the week over Hourihane.

Tomaszk
He's in the squad from the sounds of things. Wonder if he might sneak in ahead of Whelan or Hourihane.
PompeyVillan
I think he'll start if he's fit, he'll play deeper and Hourihane and McGinn will play a bit further forward.
R.Bear
Genuinely one of the worst players who's ever put on the shirt. Complete shite.

bobzy
I'd still have him in there ahead of Whelan and Hourihane. Our midfield beyond Grealish and McGinn is so weak.
villalad21
Just got back from injury give the man a break, jesus christ. Clearly not match fit Edited December 23, 2018 by villalad21
rodders0223
When this lad is regarded as a good passer under Bruce you know you are a shite side. Again, could only dream of popping the ball about like Leeds did in midfield today.
Stevo985 Posted December 23, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted December 23, 2018 Crap. People will say he's a better option because he gets forward more, but there were 3 occasions in injury time alone where he gave the ball away pathetically which stopped an attack from us. Nigel Posted December 23, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted December 23, 2018 Have we gone a bit mad on here? Few weeks ago he was being operated on. Today was as much to get him back to fitness for the Christmas period as it was a much needed change for a knackered Whelan. No blame needs laying at him. VillaChris
Was poor when he came on but I think long term he can be a decent squad player in the DS system. You give him the starts Hourihane has had and I really don't think the stats would be much different.
AvfcRigo82
He offers something different to Whelan imo. Just coming back from injury too so perhaps a little rusty and in need of more game time.
Tomaszk
Thought he tried to get us passing, which we hadn't done for about 20 mins when be came on. Him and Hogan different wavelengths twice. Could have put him/Hogan should have come short. Should be ahead of Hourihane and probably Whelan in the pecking order. Hopefully will be when back to full fitness. Today the only thing he offered different to Whelan was constantly losing the ball and a complete lack of protection for the back 4.

villalad21
His first minutes since i don't even remember how long ago and even a operation behind him and you lot are bashing him. He obviously weren't match fit, give the man a break. If anything i blame DS for throwing him in a game like this against a high pressing side.
