Steve Bruce

SO for all the time Bruce was with us I'd say yeah he got us to a play off final, which failed. I would say Bruce made our players come together more, not that it should of been a hard task to complete. I would only thank him for John Mcginn, but don't know if he had anything to do with that signing, I would say Mcginn was his accomplishment at villa. Despite certain signings it's clear that bruce wasted an awful lot of money which in turn put us in a dreadful place of our club nearly going into administration,  wasn't just xia's fault. Spending over 80 million on a team yet failing promotion tells me he's not the promotion specialist everyone says him to be.

Apart from the above, bruce alienated players, didn't train players, had a go at fans on occasions, left our team in disarray, played players in wrong positions, gave boring interviews, played boring football, couldn't make results work.

I think that's about it but feel free to add to that second paragraph, surely I've left something out. All in all bruce was a massive disappointment while in charge at our club and I hope he joins the championship So our team can rip his to shreds with his dinoball.

Also the low net spend argument is so bullshit. We were paying crazy wages. Hogan is on more than 90% of the championship for example. We signed John Terry. It was free, but he was on 70k/week.

He's got some balls defending his dad when he's getting absolutely embarrassed by Dean Smith right now though.

He's right.

But I'd argue against the squad being good. It's severely unbalanced because of the summer. But we are in a better place than when he came. He just lost his momentum after losing against Fulham.

But in the grand scheme of things - a play off final means nothing.

He failed in his objectives in successive seasons, I'd shut up banging on about reaching a play off final if I were Bruce jnr it's really not a big deal.

And if the squad they left us with is so good - who is the reason they were under performing at that point in time.

Bruce and his cronies did not leave VP with their heads held high.

If I were them i'd keep my shout and just be thankful a good club looks like they are giving them work.

Alex Bruce gets the PR campaign started again.

Bruce and his cronies were still working their PR machine to highlight what a 'great' job he did at Sunderland up until recently. it will begin with Villa, like it did with them.
Constant slagging off of the club and our fans will soon come, I guarantee it.

The sooner these words removed **** off and retire the better.

Parasites.

Having followed us since 1975 - I can say that McLeish and Bruce are the two managers who left me feeling completely and utterly underwhelmed on their appointment and I can say with hindsight I actually prefer McCleish the man.

Billy McNeil will probably go down as my worst manager - although he was at least in the top flight - not like Bruce fudging around in the second tier

I pray to god that Bruce gets the Wednesday job. He’ll take a few of our deadweight off us straightaway and that will help to give Smith the headroom he needs to bring in some proper players. Hopefully he can start by taking some of his aging right backs and Jedinak.
