sne
Looking at the positives at least we had a lot more players committed going forward and in the box when attacking compared to previous games under Bruce.

sexbelowsound
That was two completely contrasting halves that unfortunately is not uncommon under Bruce.
Reivax_Villa
Bruce needs to stay. We underestimate teams too many times on this forum. Hull are a very good Championship side and could finish in the playoffs. The other top teams in the division did not perform well also. Fulham played beautiful football this afternoon and left with a point.. like us. / We shouldn't d write our team off because each player worked hard on that pitch and we created a lot of chances. What we are lacking are other options upfront. We need another striker.
NoelVilla
He is to negative. Go for a second in the second half instead of sitting back and let them take the initiative.
AVFC44
Only 135 more points to play for. Time's running out. He's got to go for me. #BruceOut
Mantis
This isn't a defence of Bruce btw as I'm pretty neutral towards him but in fairness, many of the issues today have been here for a long time under multiple managers.
Dodgyknees
He struggles now because there are a lot of teams and players in this league who are premier league teams and players, so it is no wonder he struggles.

Been happening at this club for 20 years. We fail to look ahead and end up falling for what worked in the past.
NottingVilla
Steve Bruce vs ex International and Champions League managers only one result and it isn't promotion. Dinosaur had his day when the Championship was easy and full of muggy English managers. Games changed. But why take Hogan off to go one up top, then bring a central defender on 15 mins later to go 2 up again? This. We took off a center forward at 1-1 and finished the game with Christopher Samba up front. The bloke is an absolute joke.

dudevillaisnice
We noticeably looked a lot slower as a whole in the second half. Hull were much quicker to the second balls and utilised the pace they had. Still, early days but the signs are there that this could be another frustrating campaign. He struggles in the prem and now that sort of quality has filtered down to this league.
terrytini
I must've missed the pre season friendly when the 'patterns of play' we worked on included Samba as our 'fox in the box ' lol. A desperate measure required because we weren't aggressive enough with selection, tactics, or early substitutions. Like last year. So. He picks the defensive option of Bacuna ahead of Green. We go ahead. We don't try to push on. It will work sometimes and not others. Just like last season. He appears to have decided he does not need to be more positive. Just like last season. Shame.

Actually, Bruce has had 8 months to sort this out. 8 months including a pre season and the end of a previous season (with no pressure) to sort out the 45 minute issue.

When your plan to score a winner involves bringing on an aging center back, i don't think it's particularly premature to start worrying about how exactly this plonker is going to get us promoted.
