They always seem to choke in Europe.

Like they will probably limp out the champs league this season and nobody will utter a word even though with there squad they should be getting close to the semi's at a min.

Even their best side, the 03/04 unbeaten league side, got knocked out in the quarters of the CL.

Mhm, they got to quartets last season. That's pretty close to the semi's if you ask me.

They’re pretty one dimensional up front, give it to Saka and hope for the best. Their starting LW hasn’t scored since March, against Sheffield Utd. If it wasn’t for their defence they’d be nowhere near a title race.

Havertz has something like 16 goals in his last 21 games

The depth isn't there though, martinelli, jesus, sterling, nkeitah would all struggle for games at villa

Seems like they've doubled down on defence and left the attack until next summer

City at the weekend, they'll play for 0-0 again, still don't think they can win the title unless they beat city which they haven't done for 9 years now

They drew twice with City last season (league and Community Shield) and Arsenal beat them 1-0 at Emirates, but before that they haven't beaten City in the league since 2015.  I have a feeling they have some sort of verbal agreement for Sesko next summer, he signed a new contract at Leipzig and stated for this season, but won;t surprise me if Arsenal sign him in the summer.

Nketiah has left to Palace not that he will be a loss

It's said like a knock... but, yes, their defence is elite.  That's a good thing for them.

I thought they were actually defensively poor against us and Raya plus Watkins bailing them out.

They are rather dull, aren't they? At least under Wenger they were good to watch even if the defence slowly evolved into a shambles. It's twenty years since they won the title, can't see that changing this year.

They're Atletico Madrid with better PR.

They've literally no striker. Jesus is a close as they have and he wasn't up to it when he was at a better team. How Arteta thought he could compete without getting one in the summer is a mystery. Without a proper striker they are doomed to fail.

It probably wasn’t up to him though. They are also restricted by FFP and the kind of striker who would actually improve them seemed to be out of their budget.
