Ahh well, hope he does the business. I wouldn't. We need to focus on the here and now and get amongst that £100m TV money. We are Aston Villa not a benevolent society for when Adama feels like getting his ass into gear.

HanoiVillan
Well if he hasn't signed he's going to look a mighty plonker posing in a Villa shirt isn't he.

TheMightyVillans
Seems like he could be a good character. Lets hope he can become friends with ayew and actually put a smile on his face.
Czechlad
Depending on the fees here, I think we got away with a steal if we somehow managed to include Traore into this deal. Traore may come good in the future, but Adomah is good now, and helped Middlesborough reach promotion last season. We need that experience. Plus he will hopefully be much happier than Traore to play for us.

As was noted in the speculation thread he has played in over 40 games in his last 6 seasons, all at this level. He's 28 years old and has 24 goals and 15 assists in his last 130 games for Boro and has a handy 7.06 rating on WhoScored - https://www.whoscored.com/Players/35328/History/Albert-Adomah Historical Participations Summary Defensive Offensive Passing Detailed View: Overall Home Away Season Team Tournament Apps Mins Goals Assists Yel Red SpG PS% AerialsWon MotM Rating 2016/2017 Middlesbrough Premier League 1(1) 121 - - - - 2 75 - - 6.27 2015/2016 Middlesbrough EC 36(7) 3234 6 5 1 - 1.9 77.7 0.7 6 7.20 2014/2015 Middlesbrough EC 43(3) 3744 6 4 8 1 1.6 72.8 0.7 2 7.02 2013/2014 Middlesbrough EC 38(4) 3433 12 6 2 - 1.6 74.3 0.5 2 7.00 2014 Ghana WC 0(1) 12 - - - - - 71.4 - - 6.45 Total / Average 134 10544 24 15 11 1 1.7 74.9 0.6 10 7.06 Obligatory YouTube clip - Thoughts? Great signing. Helped Boro get promoted last season and can hopefully do it for us too. An average rating of 7.20 is incredible and apparently he's consistent, something we've been lacking of late. GeordieVillan
Potentially a massive piece of a our promotion puzzle. Finally someone who looks like they can cross the ball, and also that they actually want to cross the ball. This is the first time we've had a player like this since Ashley Young and Marc Albrighton. Great news for Gestede and McCormack. Great news for Grealish as it looks like we'll have threat on the opposite side of the pitch to him as well. And, perhaps great news for Ayew, if he doesn't leave then he has one of his buddies coming to hopefully settle him down and help him score some goals. Another good bit of business for RDM. It seems we have the money, and we are using it buy proven quality at this level. If we can get promoted and then do the same next year (buy proven quality at Premier League level), then it will be the first time we've done that since MON, and we will be fine. carlitobrigante
that goal in the video above against Doncaster is drool worthy. The lad can definately finish. Just like all our summer signings, i know next to nothing about him. Looks the buisness though in those clips, and the general reaction of Boro fans is a good sign. Seems a much better value for money deal than we were seemingly going to do for Valencia
