Nigel Posted August 28, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted August 28, 2016 I didnt really like the film that much tbh but i thought Daniel Day Lewis was perfect in his role as Daniel Plainview in 'There will be blood'.
PaulC
Wasn't it the same role as in Gangs of new York? Back to the 70s. Jack Nicholson "one flew over the cuckoos nest" Robert Redford " The Sting" Tatum Oneill in "paper moon" Kay Lenz in the clint Eastwood film Breezy. I fell in love with her in that. foreveryoung
Was just about to come on here and say Heath Ledger as the Joker, until I saw it was the first mentioned, true master class. If I was choosing another, Jack Nicholson is up there in many films, but the Departed a quite recent film with Leonardo DiCaprio is confirmation of his quality. Also rate Al Pacino, takes method acting to another level. Heat is one film which he is absolute quality.
useless
I don't normally notice good acting performances maybe If it's that good I'm too absorbed in the film to notice, but I thought Shelley Duvall was noticeably good in 3 Women. Best narrator Linda Manz on 'Days of Heaven', apparently she ad-libbed the whole thing as well. Edited August 28, 2016 by useless

Rodders
Eddie Redmayne in the Theory of Everything, was fantastic, he just became Hawking entirely. Also, Steve Carrell in the Foxcatcher, just watched that one tonight. Hypnotic, and definitely not just the extreme make up!
