wiggyrichard
Probably bindunne... i will start with Heath Ledger as "The Joker".....the epitome of method acting, a true masterclass...apparently he locked himself away in an apartment for a couple of months to 'evolve' the character of The Joker! Rumour assumes that the role was so dark it literally overcome him leading to depression, prescription drugs etc. go...
darrenm
Can't sleep? Gary Oldman as George Smiley in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. No idea what methods he used but it was the perfect nuanced performance for me. Pitched it perfect and I was actually awestruck while watching in the cinema from how perfectly he fitted into the role.
wiggyrichard
Wide awake my friend! Thinking of ways to dodge people I haven't seen for 10 years at a wedding tomorrow lol!! a film I've never seen!! i would say Damon as Will Hunting in "Good Will Hunting" along with Robin Williams was well worth the Oscar! sharkyvilla
Not a movie but Martin Sheen as Ged Bartlet I find utterly convincing and often have to step back and think that it's acting and not real.

NurembergVillan Posted August 27, 2016 Moderator Share Posted August 27, 2016 No mention for Di Caprio in Django? I thought he was unbelievable in that. Spoiler The scene at the dining table where he smashes the glass and cut his hand was apparently real. He wasn't supposed to break the glass, but just went along with it. He needed stitches afterwards.
