It sounds like the kind of role I thought Stilyan could have done This is a really good article on the role: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11991509/loans-manager-role-explained-dean-hammond-on-why-it-is-so-important Quote With more and more players going out on loan, Premier League clubs now appoint a loans manager to handle the progress of their young talent when they are playing elsewhere. In conversation with Adam Bate, Leicester City's former loans manager Dean Hammond explains the varied aspects of the role and why it is so important to player development… There is a bit of everything to the role of a loans manager. At Leicester, I used to be at the training ground two or three days a week watching the U23 team, while the rest of my time was spent out at games and going to see players. You are around the coaching staff on a regular basis and you are in the meetings discussing plans for the future. These can be difficult decisions because it is a balancing act and there are so many parts of the football club to keep happy. The U23 manager wants the strongest squad that he can possibly have. He wants to keep his best players, work with them and improve them. Others at the football club might want the same player to go out on loan so they can develop in order to make the first team or be sold on elsewhere. Everyone has their own opinion so it can be difficult, but the role of a loans manager in that can be beneficial. Solving a problem When I was young and I went out on loan from Brighton to Aldershot and Leyton Orient I had very little contact from my parent club. You were basically left to your own devices.
Popular Post sidcow Posted March 30, 2021 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted March 30, 2021 Surely we can find a role for Ross Mccormack? We can accelerate the development of these young players into true professional footballers by introducing them to the best nightclubs, recommend suitable escorts agencies, introduce them to estate agents in Dubai, match them up to dealers with the best gear. Would help them avoid a lot of pitfalls on the way. 1 3

The home owners would never get rid of him.

QldVilla Posted April 1, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted April 1, 2021 Watched an interview with him and Mark Schwarzer (who predicted we would be relegated this season) a few months ago, he said he was studying for his badges and had a possible opportunity coming up, but didn't give specifics. Great to have his continued involvement in the club, possibly learning from grassroots to become a coach/manager long term?

If hutton went into coaching could see him potentially coming in
sne
Really do not want Hutton as a coach here. Wasn't what I would call a thinking mans footballer. Maybe he could teach Krav Maga to the women's team and learn them to kick guys in the balls.
