Keyblade
Wait, were they actually trying to physically push him into his own half That's even scummier than just kicking off.
AvfcRigo82
It is totally laughable whilst at the same time unsurprising the lows that these knuckle dragger's would stoop too.

I'm not convinced the Blues players are smart enough to know about this rule. I reckon they probably thought he was taking the piss. Either way, was never going to work. I made some comments the other week you where utter useless and another Australian flop. With this move my man you are deemed of redemption and my hat goes off to this act of cleverness and unselfishness. **** top man! It was actually entirely down to Mike Dean. Jedinak was heading off to celebrate with the rest of them when Dean called him back and told him to stand in their half.

Yep true I just read an article that said Dean told Jedi to go into the other half. For all the crap we give refs this fella deserves credit.... not just cos he did it for us, but it was just the right thing to do. Good game management. Bloody scum find new depths to sink to. AntrimBlack
A simple rule change to have to play to the referee's whistle would do it. Referee just ensures that everyone is in position.

villa4europe
dean still celebrated spurs goal though its at least a bit reassuring for all their incompetence at times some of them can still apply a bit of common sense and fairness
ozvillafan Posted November 3, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted November 3, 2016 It works both ways. Dean also advised a blues player to do the same when they scored the equalizer and celebrated down the other end. Good game management. All hell would have broken loose if either side was allowed to score that type of goal.

Vive_La_Villa
Just read about the quick restart. Surely it's up to the referee when he blows the whistle to restart the game?
midian
Starting to be the player we expected when he signed, the ball for the 2nd goal was class.
sidcow Posted November 5, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted November 5, 2016 This looks like the guy I thought we had bought. I am beginning to wonder how much playing for Australia takes out of him with the long journeys
roscoe
He has been shit for Australia too in recent games, but scored a penalty a few weeks ago which seemed to have sparked his confidence. Not playing regularly at Palace didn't help his form. Playing regularly at Villa seems to be working in rekindling the form we know he is capable of

Tomaszk
Weird, weird player. Wins everything in the air. Looks so uncomfortable on the ball most of the time. Then sweeps that absolute dream pass through from nowhere.
VillaChris
What a great ball for the 2nd...it reminded me of the balls Barry used to effortlessly ping out wide past the fullbacks.
