I felt very English sat there with my pot of tea and bakewell pudding. Had a superb Indian at night too. Will be making a few more visits. I’d imagine Christmas time there would be lovely. Yeah, I discovered I don't like 'authentic' bakewells. I just like the commercialised iced and cherried version.

Yeah, I tried a few versions of things and my main thought with all of them was 'lard'. But then, I also thought Kendal Mint Cake was crap in Kendal. Don't even get me started on what I tried in Cockermouth. 1

Seat68
In Herefordshire this weekend. About 10 miles from Leominster. On a campsite so hopefully not much more than reading and drinking wine.
Rodders
Completely forgot it was Easter really as house viewings has dominated spare time lately. 3 more in for today, spending the day in Caerphily mostly, and then wondering if we can find a magic combo of nice place to visit on Monday that also will not appeal to crowds of other people. Popular Post trekka Posted April 19, 2019 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted April 19, 2019 I was celebrating last weekend with friends after passing the interview (and drawn-out application process) to become a Team Leader at work. I found out yesterday that they're putting me on the higher pay scale because I smashed the interview . Guess I'll be celebrating this weekend again (this time with family in Birmingham).

Finally got ourselves inside about 10 minutes ago and I'm feeling very well oiled and slightly sunburnt and extremely happy. chrisp65
Spent some time today watching water voles. Also spent some time sat on the grass, eating a Solero, wearing dark glasses, watching the ladies walk by. I've listened to some Moody Blues 'cos my missus bought me an album. Now I'm off out. So far so good.
