I would like to think smarter people than we can even imagine could come up with a way of doing the North redevelopment without having to lose that end for 2 years. This was always a problematic aspect of the project as unveiled. Crazy to think isn’t it how quickly those stands went up … Main issue with the North stand is the differing levels and also all the stadiums underground electrical cabling need relocating before work can commence. The stand also needs to be demolished top down adding extra time. Even the Fanzone looks better than the photos last night although still looks like a river boat and too far from the players entrance.
