Is the temp store in the North car park?

Is there other work being done in that car park? Aren't they meant to be setting up a fan-zone / food zone / drinking zone in that car park for the new season?

No at the Holte Pub -

Holte pub is being used as a temporary pop up shop.  Loads going on and workmen everywhere. Old shop hasn’t changed much as yet.

After chatting with one of the guys on Tuesday they said they are behind schedule, that's why they are using the Holte End store.

He said original plan was to have the new store ready

I'd be really surprised if that was the case.  The club only just got granted planning permission for the external works, including the video wall, on 22 July and only put the application in on 6 June.

It was someone from Villa who said it, not a director or anything though.. he may have just been making conversation

Very random...

I've been gifted one of the seats ripped from the north stand. I've no idea what to do with it... Any interesting or creative ideas you could think of?

A guy I know has an old seat from Maple Leaf Gardens (old Toronto Maple Leafs stadium), has a little plaque on it and everything. Just has it in his office. Anyone visiting can sit in it. Pretty cool, good talking piece. Though it is an old cream leather padded chair. Not sure if yours will look like you've knicked it from the local bus stop, or will have numerous pieces of chewing gum on it. Just and idea 🤷‍♂️

Why are pretending to have 9 league titles by including two from Division 2.  If we’re going down that route it’s 10 including Division 3.  Or let’s just call it 7!

Is there any need for this?

Aston Villa is trying to compete with Tottenham, Newcastle, Liverpool,  Arsenal, Man Utd. These clubs all have 10,000-20,000 more in through the door every single match day and spending every match day at the ground in restaurants, shops, cafes etc and of course premium offerings etc.

We hear a lot about how Villa need to improve revenue and yet you get ridiculed for pointing out that our decision to stick in the low 40,000s with capacity is probably the thing that is going to bite us on the arse eventually as the aforementioned clubs rake in that much more revenue than us year on year for at least another 5 years now. With one execution,  that exception being a club in the richest part of London, the richest and most successful clubs have been the ones with bigger capacity.

Anyway, "yay" for the nice paint job!

Plans for the temporary fan zone are on the Birmingham City Council planning pages now - do a search on applications using the postcode B6 6HE and you'll find them if interested.

Would’ve looked better if it was rubble though
