There's an awful lot of work going on. I am sure we will be first to know with our ceo public relations expert. Expect a one-liner a week before the season with his next interview with Gabby saying we won't be ready til September with no actual description of what is happening at Villa Park. Willy Wonka was more open in his locked factory and the Oompa-Loompas workforce than our current regime. 2
thabucks
I don’t understand when one the main matrixes used is social media engagement & reach when negotiating commercial partnerships etc. the club aren’t move active on social media with what works are going on - I mean we have a content creation department whose job is to help expand the brand … but radio silence about the works this summer… I mean it’s not difficult to put someone thing like this together is it

I just used that example kinda as a piss take as much as to make a point… A short professionally in-house produced update on the ongoing redevelopment works at Villa Park across multiple platforms will help our global reach ambitions, which in turn can be monetised. Like it or not that’s the way forwards in terms of marketing the club as a global brand - by producing interesting content which can be drip fed as the various works progress. We can then say to sponsors this is our online reach and this is how much fan engagement, shares etc then being able to negotiate higher value contracts. It’s a no brainer for me. Brookevale academy was a missed opportunity as is this the lack of official content regarding this summers works at VP. Content creation is key nowadays and we must get better at it IMO.

OutByEaster? Posted June 10 Moderator Share Posted June 10 I wonder how many of the £14,000 places there are? I'm guessing it's the old directors club level so maybe a hundred or so - if it's a hundred, that's the equivalent of about 1,800 season ticket holders. You can see why the club is driven to enhance these spaces. It would be interesting to see the balance for this coming season between the income from GA seats, the income from hospitality and the income from GA+ If we get to 3,000 hospitality this season at an average of say £7,000 that'll be either very close to, or in excess of, the amount we make from GA season ticket holders
