Sell it as a massive challenge to someone like Bielsa and pay him whatever he wants. You havnt heard have you? Not allowed to mention Bielsa's name on here..... Not unless your talking about what you want Santa to drop down the chimney.

I know the Bielsa ship is long since sailed, maybe one of his ambitious young disciples scattered across Europe and South America might be attainable. Zdenek Zeman until the end of the season would also be the stuff dreams are made of also. Let him teach the coaches how to coach and how a team is set up properly to attack. Pardew is probably what we will get though.

Nearly all games have been a decent half at best . cant wait to play Rotherham again as that's been our only comfortable game. I'm pretty certain that the match officials are instructed to play at least 90 minutes in each match.

The issues seem to be rooted deeper in the club, not just players and manager.. RDM wasn't, Bruce's appointment made sense but is turning out to be a disaster. Popular Post PompeyVillan
What we're suffering now is a result of long term instability and mismanagement. I don't see Xia sacking another manager just yet, because I think he recognises that we are better off with Bruce at least until the end of the season. We could do with building an infrastructure like Southampton's whereby a change in manager doesn't mean a fundamental change in philosophy and staffing infrastructure. For example, if we had a 'plan' we wouldn't have bought Tshibola for a significant fee only to then loan him out a few months later because the new manager doesn't fancy him. Same with McCormack, but obviously there were other issuing surrounding that transfer. I don't blame Xia for that, Tshibola was signed very early on before he had a chance to really get a feel for what is going. I'm hoping that is something Steve Round has been employed to do, to create an Aston Villa 'way'. One that hopefully promotes quality youth players, a strong team spirit and identity and a squad with a British core that understands the rigours of English football. We're miles away yet, but a few wins on a trot will help ease my worries that we still don't have a plan in place.
KSV
Looks like the Doctor is buying Millennium films - the american film company he was rumoured to be buying. Dont think they are top 10 or whatever the articles were saying back then.. but a significant purchase. Villa could be renamed to the expendables. A hugely expensive cast all thrown into one movie without a plot. Perfect fit.

The Recon Group is reportedly in talks to buy Millenium Films, the company behind the star-studded The Expendables franchise. The purchase would be made from Wenyuan Cable, a company that was acquired by Xia in October. The deal is reported on Bloomberg.com , it is reported that both companies are yet to comment on the speculated takeover by Xia's company.

Guest
Maybe we might see a big screen adaptation of 'American Horror Story', starring Randy Lerner. Or maybe a big screen adaptation of 'Lost' Or perhaps a film about Lescott last season, The Walking Dead.

rubberman
I'd take Jason Statham as the next manager. He'd sort 'em out.
