The Hong Kong-listed China Wah Yen Healthcare has a market cap of about HK$290m, or 25m quid... Best I can tell it's a penny stock (11 HK cents a share, or less than 1p) with no earnings and a very well paid chairman. http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/qsymbinfo.asp?sid=138202&symb=HK%3A0648&time=8&freq=

The hairdresser at Small Heath is from Hong Kong, and whilst that essentially makes him Chinese he's one of 1.4bn people in that country. The Venkys are one company in a country of 1.3bn people. Vincent Tan is Malaysian. It's further from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing than it is from London to Baghdad. "That part of the world" is a pretty broad target for your fears...

To be fair, all Europeans are essentially the same so it's probably a fair comparison

JAMAICAN-VILLAN
I, and others already stated, as said, that the group were OWNED by the Chinese government. Then in typical Villa fashion everybody found quixotic ways to turn it into some other negative "Alot of companies are old Chinese shareholdings" "The company was once placed under Chinese government as a tentative, sentimental gesture to Bruce Lee" . "Gandalf the white was said to once be a part of a Chinese group which proposed a takeover of Narnia with Ruby's"
