Popular Post chrisp65
On the presumption we'll have the same owner with the same faults making the same catastrophic decisions and still trying to manage a tight budget but not actually understanding anything about anything but thinking you can fix everything with another appointment to the board....what Manager would be thick enough to take us on? Are we really going to go out and get a quality Manager and hand him the money for 15 players that can get promotion? Of course we're not. Therefore, you have to already be dubious about any head case that would take the job on. That's where we are. We're an engine, body, brakes, fuel, pit team, running gear and a driver away from being a decent racing car.
Guest
I foresee a staff clear out, a player clear out and a new manager. The new board will restructure the club from top to bottom and we will by from lower leagues / loan from the Premier League and utilise our youth players for the next few seasons. It might take 3-4 years in the Championship, but I'd rather do that and become a stable club than one that yo-yo's up and down and carry on as we are at the moment. Nigel Posted March 14, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) I think it will show a great deal of what is really going on behind the scenes IF garde stays with us next season. If he leaves we really are fecked...and its little to do with him per se. For this reason Id love to see him here next season! Jareth
I wouldn't mind Holloway, would give us a bit of excitement and he has shown he can get a club promoted.

Don't ever wan't another manager that speaks without thinking,
PieFacE Posted March 14, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted March 14, 2016 Don't want Holloway, half arsed manager that used to be famous. He's an idiot. I want Garde to stay. Failing that, Hughton I think would be the best candidate.

In our position? Moyes would be the best appointment we could make by a million miles, don't think he would touch us though. It seems too logical for Villa though.

I think he has had his purple patch in management, I don't think he will do anything of note ever again Edited March 14, 2016 by KHV
Didiersix
I'd take Moyes in a heartbeat. Would be happy with someone like Mick McCarthy. No nonsense and lots of experience.

thabucks
We've been burned enough buying players living off past achievements let's not start doing the same with managers. Moyes, Pearson, Holloway, McCarthy are not the solution imo
GeordieVillan
Big Sam isn't an option. If Sunderland go down, he won't quit because he's too stubborn to accept failure, and they won't sack him because they will know he's probably one of the best out there to get them back up. Jareth
Not sure about the likes of Bruce, I'd want a manager who can bring us up and stay with us for a long time.

Will never happen, if you can get a manger to stay with you for two seasons then they become one of the longest serving in the league!!!
